Zhou Yutong was a famous historian,educator and editor in modern China,born in 1898.He participated in the May 4th Movement and Setting Zhao' s Mansion on fire.Turbulence in the current situation,Zhou Yutong actively participated in educational reform and historiography,and striving to awaken national consciousness of Chinese.In 'his lifetime,his academic achievements are quite extensive and involve a wide range,mainly in the history of Confucian classics,educational history and so on.At the same time,he has compiled many editions of secondary school textbooks.“Kai Ming National History textbook”was the first history textbooks book of junior high school by Zhou Yutong,including two volumes,was published in 1931,is one of the popular version of textbooks in the period of Nanjing national government.In this paper,“Kai Ming National History Textbook”as the research object,to explore the characteristics and shortcomings of"Kai Ming National History Textbook",so as to provide reference and help for the current history education.The compilation of textbooks is closely connected with the changes of the social and academics,and the writer's personal accomplishment determines the quality of the textbook.During the late Qing Dynasty in the history of new development,such as the development of new historiography,doubting ancient Trend affects content the history writing of "Kai Ming National History Textbook";in 1929“the interim Provisions of junior high school history currieulum standard "the selection of objectives and teaching content“Kai Ming National History Textbook”;Zhou Yutong rich editing and educational experience ensure the quality.“Kai Ming National History Textbook”is used in the compilation of general history of chapter,content selection,focuses on the major events in history,with particular emphasis on topics such as race and transportation.In order to make the teaching contents accepted by the students,“Kai Ming National History Textbook”with vivid and clear title,using historical charts to solve historical difficulties,and in the end the text attached to the guidance of learning history.“Kai Ming National History Textbook”with rigorous advantages,is an tool for students to learn the history.But“Kai Ming National History Textbook”also has the limitations,the evaluation of the peasant uprising is biased.These features and shortcomings are all worthy of our attention.Provided a reference for the compilation of the history textbook follows the same research on“Kai Ming National History Textbook”:the textbooks is Student-centered to be the "learning materials",strengthen the core literacy,education combined with interesting.
