The Study On The Cultivation Of Students' Consciousness Of Rule Of Law In Ideological And Political Classroom Teaching

With the development of social economy and the promotion of quality education,rule by law as the basic strategy of governing the country is becoming more and more popular.Cultivating consciousness of rule of law of senior high school students so that they can truly respect,learn,obey as well as utilize the law,is not only the necessity of running the country by law but also the important task of school education.Fostering the consciousness of rule of law of senior high school students is not only the need of constructing the rule of law in China,but also the inevitable choice for students to acquire the core competency of Ideological and Political Course.Ideological and Political Course in high school plays a significant role in the process as a curriculum of moral education of developing students' legal due to its course goal and content.Therefore,the high school teachers who teach Ideological and Political Course should make full use of classroom teaching as the main way to cultivate the students' consciousness of rule of law.This essay carries out the questionnaire survey among senior students in four high schools of Sichuan Province,and we find problems of cultivating the consciousness of rule of law of high school students as follow:Having strong sense of authority of law,while feeling vague towards constitution as well as the function of law;Having increasing consciousness of protecting the rights by law,while having insufficient recognition towards content and relationship of rights and obligations;Having fairly strong consciousness of adhering to ethical practices,while having low consciousness of abiding by the law and the regulation;Accepting the importance of ideological and political course in high school,while having not enough knowledge of rule of law.Towards the problems above,the author think that cultivating the consciousness of rule of law in high school Ideological and Political Course teaching,we should follow the basic principles of combining dominance and subjectivity,tradition and times,theory and practice.Meanwhile,the teachers should foster students' consciousness of rule of law in four aspects:Seizing the teaching goal correctly,integrating teaching content reasonable,using teaching methods flexibly and providing teaching evaluation in time.Based on curriculum standard of Political life and the teased content about the consciousness of rule of law in textbook,we select Adhere to the equality of citizens before the law,Adhere to the principle of uniting rights and obligations,Active on the UN stage of China as three typical contents todesign teaching segment,which provide the example for cultivating students' legal consciousness in high school Ideological and Political classroom teaching.
