Since the birth of the university,university autonomy has always been accompanied by the development of the university.Studying the history of university autonomy is studying the university itself.As today's universities are getting closer to the center of society and closer to the country and society,universities should remain soberly aware of the ever-changing era and stick to the wall of university autonomy.French universities have similarities in education management systems with Chinese university education management systems.In addition,in the 1960 s,French universities experienced the transformation and regeneration of university autonomy under the system of centralized education management,and found the dawn of autonomy.Therefore,this study takes the management reform and the autonomy of French universities in the 1960 s as the starting point,takes the historical dimension as the breakthrough point,analyse the management of centralized education during this period.The rise of French university autonomy under the system reveals the intrinsic link between the rise of such autonomy and social development at that time,and shows the special and important value of this rise of self-government.This paper divides the rise of French university autonomy under the centralized education management system with the historical dimension and its process.Starting from the macro social background of French higher education reform in the 1960 s,the rise of French universities under the centralized management system is divided into three stages.The first stage,the formation of a centralized management system of education.This part mainly discusses the management and development stages before the rise of French universities' self-government,including the acquisition of the autonomy of the early French universities and the formation of the centralized management system of the Napoleonic era.The second stage,the outbreak stage ofuniversity autonomy under the centralized management system of education.This part of the student's perspective starts with a detailed presentation of the level of contentment and conflict satisfaction of students in French higher education reform during this period.During this period,the French higher education experienced a transition from elitist to popular.This transformation revealed the degree of recognition and importance of education between traditional universities and modern democratic societies,which led to a serious decline in the quality of higher education and more people accepted it.The contradiction between higher education and the pursuit of higher quality higher education is deepening.This deepening contradiction has promoted the pursuit of autonomy by French universities.Against the backdrop of the rise of education democratization ideas and the prevalence of selection systems,French universities still adhere to individualistic ideas,and the contradictions between the school and students in university management seem irreconcilable,triggering a sensational student movement in the world-"May storms ".The third stage is the relaxation phase of the rise of university autonomy under the system of centralized education administration.This stage mainly discusses the government's position and practice in the French higher education reform in the 1960 s.During this period,the conflict between the French government and the university students could not be alleviated in time.The government took measures of compulsory control to suppress the students and their movements,and issued the Fuhr Act with moderation The three principles proposed in the Fuhr Act have,to a large extent,eased the conflict between the autonomy of universities and the demands of students and promoted the development of university autonomy.The last part of the thesis concludes and analyzes the rise of French university autonomy during this period,and emphasizes the particularity of the autonomy of French universities and the autonomy of universities in other countries in Europe and America at the same time.The practice and concept of university autonomy in this period were carried out.It sums up and summarizes,with a view to providing some reference and enlightenment for Chinese university autonomy and the construction of "double first-rate university".
