At the beginning of the 21 st century, with the implementation of the reform in the history curriculum, the history textbooks for high schools are also carried out accordingly to the change. As it can be seen from the various columns settings, the textbooks pay more attention to the auxiliary systems, which well reflects the thought of the textbook change from a "script" to "learning".The column "the window of learning and thinking " is the first column in history textbooks for high schools. The setting up of it highlights the instrumental function of textbooks, creatively combines the reading materials with the consider questions, and make its have the nature of inspiring the students to think in the class. As an aid column of textbooks, it can make up for the inadequacy of the text system, offer beneficial supplement and expanding effect to the text. It helps to break through the difficult point of teaching, thus helps students to learn history. The set of the column "the window of learning and thinking " conforms to the requirement of paying attention to training students' ability in the high school history curriculum reform. Combined with the teaching experience of the teachers, the author thinks that it is very necessary to study the using of the column "the window of learning and thinking " in the teaching.In this paper, the author mainly uses literature research to analyze the text of the column "the window of learning and thinking " on the basis of existing research results and its setting intentions and functions. Combining with many methods such as questionnaires, interviews, classroom observation and other research methods. It analyzes the using of the column "the window of learning and thinking " in the classroom from the practical level.Through the analysis, it can be found that the using situation of the column "the window of learning and thinking " in the classroom is not optimistic. Its setting intentions and functions don't get enough attention. Aiming at this situation, the author puts forward a suggestion that the column "the window of learning and thinking " should be applied in classroom teaching, hoping that through this article, the first-line teachers can take the initiative to understand the functions of the column "the windowof learning and thinking " and attach great importance to thinking in the classroom.Thus can broach the subject, and the author hopes the first-line teachers to deepen the understanding of history textbook for high school, and pay attention to the development and utilization of textbook resources in the classroom teaching.
