The plateau phenomenon of teacher professional development is common in the current teacher's career,but the academic circle pays less attention to it,most of the related research results use two paradigms to study: one is the quantitative analysis of positivism,the other is qualitative theoretical research,and the latter mainly.Due to the limitation of the research methods,the current research has not revealed enough on the "dynamic" and "procedural" problems.Therefore,this paper makes an in-depth study on the problem by using the educational narrative research of the qualitative research paradigm.The full text is divided into four parts,the following is the main content of each parts.Part one discusses the theoretical and practical significance of studying the plateau phenomenon of teacher professional development,and defines the related core concepts on the basis of the past research.Part two is research design.In view of the adaptability of the research of the teacher's professional development plateau phenomenon and the educational narrative research,this study chooses educational narrative research to explore the process.In the research,the main methods of collecting data include literature analysis,deep interview,participatory observation and material object collection.Part three is the narrative of teacher X's experience of professional development.According to the features and law of the teacher X's 31-year educational experience,this paper divides it into four stages: novice's adaption period,rapid development period,stable and stagnant period,breakthrough and renewal period,which is connected together to form a complete narrative text.Part four is theoretical analysis and strategic discussion.According to the discovery of the narrative in the previous chapter,this chapter analyzes the whole process of teachers X' experience of the plateau period of professional development from three aspects: what,why and how,and puts forward the strategies to promote teachers to break through it based on the analysis.
