As an urgent task to implement the Plan,the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China issued a series of documents regarding the quality of teachers in 2012.The application scope of these documents covers kindergartens,primary schools and middle schools.Among them,the Professional Standards for Kindergarten Teachers(Trial)(hereinafter referred to as the “Standards”)is concerned with the improvement of the quality of teachers.It is one of the important documents to ensure the quality of preschool education team and the healthy growth of young children under the new situation of speeding up the popularization of preschool education and guaranteeing the scientific development of the whole education business and the educational equality.The last part of the Standards is about the implementation suggestions.It is suggested that the preschool teachers' education colleges should train students in accordance with the Standards.Sichuan Preschool Educators College,as one of the preschool teachers education institutions,focuses on the training of preschool teachers.Through the role of guidance,the Standards has practical guiding significance for the preschool teachers' education institutions in training preschool teachers.One of the concerns of this study is the implementation situation of the the Standards within the years after its publication.Based on literature review,student interviews and experts consulting,the author designs the student questionnaire and the outline of interviews.Through the investigation of the Sichuan Preschool Educators College,it is found that the teachers majoring in preschool education have made a good practice of the Standards.Through investigation and analysis,teachers and students agree that it is difficult to practice some of the standards,including professional concepts and ethics: professional comprehension,attitudes and behavior towards child care and education;professional knowledge: early childhood development knowledge,child care and education knowledge;professional ability: daily organization and care,reflection and development.On this basis,relevant suggestions are put forward from the three perspectives of school,teacher and student.
