With the growth of local economy and high attention paid by central and local governments at all levels to education,schools in urban fringes of WenJiang district have realized the balanced development in terms of educational facilities.However,only increasing input in educational funds and facilities for urban fringes is not real balance,it is also necessary to improve the schooling and teaching quality of schools in urban fringes according to characteristics of students and the actual situation of schools.Class is a basic unit of schooling and teaching,hence,doing class management well and improving class teaching and management are the central tasks for the realization of the balanced development of education.This article investigated the class teaching and management of H Middle School in the urban fringe of Wenjiang District and learned about the current situation of its class teaching and management by interview and using questionnaires.Then this study identified and analyzed its problems in class teaching and management and the reasons and proposed countermeasures to improve its class teaching and management: for school,updating educational concept,attaching importance to class teaching and management,perfecting the evaluation mechanism for class teaching and management by “basing evaluation upon outcome”,strengthening training for class teachers,and improving teaching and administration of class teachers;for class teachers,taking scientific measure to increase the timeliness of class teaching and management;for family-school collaboration,building the model of family-school collaboration with shared wish to form an educational synergy.It is hoped that this article could serve as a modest spur to induce class teaching administrators of schools in urban fringes to come forward with their valuable opinions and stimulate more innovations in class teaching and management to make more class teachers to study the class teaching and management in this special area.
