Mathematics reading is an indispensable part of students' mathematics learning,which plays an important role in improving students' mathematics consciousness and developing their mathematical thinking.Through mathematics reading,primary school students can deepen their understanding of mathematics knowledge,regulate their mathematical language,accurately express their opinions in mathematics communication and cooperation,and inspire their confidence and enthusiasm in learning mathematics.With the deepening of the reform of mathematics curriculum,educator gradually developed the study of mathematics reading,and the mathematics reading gained more and more attention.Although teachers are aware of the importance of mathematics reading in practical teaching and put it into practice,there are still some problems in primary school students' mathematics reading in the current situation.So it is necessary to research the current situation of primary school students' mathematics reading,analyze the existing problems and reasons,and then put forward the improvement strategies to give full play to the role of mathematics reading.Based on constructivism learning theory and meta cognitive theory,the research integrates use of literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.Through collecting,sorting and analyzing the literature of mathematics reading materials,then determine the dimensions,compile the questionnaire and interview outline of this research.The dimensions include the attitude,content,method,self-monitoring and conduct of mathematics reading.On this basis,the research takes 592 students of four primary schools higher grades as questionnaire survey objects and takes 10 math teachers and 13 students as interview objects,then investigates the current situation of primary school higher grades students' mathematics reading.The research has six parts.The first part is the question proposed,the research significance,the review at home and abroad,the theoretical basis and the concepts defined.The second part is the methods that used in this research,including literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.The third part analyzes the survey results that include questionnaires' results and interviews' results.The fourth part,according to the results,analyzes the current situation of primary school higher grades students' mathematics reading,then finds out the problems and explores the reasons.The fifth part puts forward the strategies that are based on the problems and reasons.The sixth part is the conclusion,innovation and reflection of this research.
