Since the new round of basic education curriculum reform in China was officially launched in 2001,probability and statistics have become an important part of the middle school mathematics curriculum,and the teaching research related to probability and statistics has also become one of the hot spots.With the popularization of quality education,the importance of mathematics history in mathematics teaching has been emphasized gradually.Also the education circles have begun to recognize the value and function of mathematics history in teaching.However,the practice of HPM is not optimistic.Most teachers can not really apply the history of mathematics to teaching.In such a background,it is particularly important to combine the teaching content of probability and statistics with the relevant mathematical historical data of probability and statistics.Based on the theory of HPM and the knowledge of probability and statistics in senior high school,this paper explores the integration of mathematical history.First of all,this paper combs the historical development of probability theory and statistics from its establishment to being strict.Secondly,the present teaching situation of probability and statistics is investigated and studied.On this basis,two teaching cases of probability and statistics that were integrated into the history of mathematics were designed,which are "geometric probability" and "the mean of discrete random variables",and carried on the classroom practice.Finally,a questionnaire was carried out to the senior three students to analyze the results of the classroom practice,and to explore the impact of the integration of the history of mathematics in the teaching of probability and statistics on the students.Some senior high school teachers were interviewed to find out if the integration of mathematics history had changed professional accomplishment and teaching methods of teachers.From the questionnaire statistics of the experimental class and the control class,it can be seen that the accuracy of the answer in the experimental class is slightly higher than that in the control class,but the students in the experimental class are more interested in learning than in the control class,and the classroom efficiency is even higher for the teachers.The results show that integrating the historical data of probability and statistics into the teaching of probability and statistics,taking HPM as the starting point and using the relevant theory of HPM to guide the teaching can to a great extent arouse the learners' enthusiasm in mathematics learning and to increase learners' confidence in mathematics learning.The classroom atmosphere is more active,and at the same time,the mathematics literacy of students has been improved while the mathematics related culture has been injected into the classroom.
