As an important component of primary school mathematics teaching,knowledge of "Statistics and Probability" plays an important role in developing students’ data processing and analyzing skills,and in cultivating primary school students’ mathematical core accomplishment.It is an important topic to conduct the research of primary school mathematics teaching design for the purpose of promoting the development of primary school students’ mathematical core accomplishment.This study examines the teaching design of primary school mathematics in the area of "Statistics and Probability" from the perspective of mathematical core accomplishment,with the aim of improving teachers’ teaching design,enhancing classroom teaching efficiency,achieving the goal of improving classroom teaching quality and developing students’ core mathematical literacy.This study adopts the textual analysis method and focuses on the following two aspects: "the current situation of teaching design in the area of ’Statistics and Probability’ in elementary school mathematics from the perspective of mathematical core accomplishment",and "strategies for improving teaching design in the area of ’Statistics and Probability’ in elementary school mathematics from the perspective of mathematical core accomplishment".The study was conducted as follows: firstly,using the Nvivo11 software,we analyzed the present state of teachers’ instructional design by coding 64 instructional designs at multiple levels;secondly,we systematically analyzed the problems of teachers’ instructional design based on specific instructional design recordings;finally,the improvement strategies of making instructional design were proposed to solve the existing problems.This study found and analyzed the following main problems of teachers’ teaching design in the field of “Statistics and Probability” in primary school mathematics from the perspective of mathematical core accomplishment: the teaching objectives are not expressed correctly,which affects the achievement of teaching objectives;the introduction of classroom teaching is dull,which can not stimulate students’ interests;the learning activities is not well predesigned,which affects the classroom teaching effects;the form of classroom exercises is dull,which cannot achieve the practice objectives;the content of the classroom summary is dull,which lacks depth expansion;the elements of the core accomplishment are incomplete,which affects the development of students’ thinking abilities;the creation of teaching cases relies only on books,which make students lack real experiences.To address the problems of teaching design in the area of "Statistics and Probability" in elementary school mathematics,this paper proposes the following improvement strategies: conducting in-depth theoretical study and teaching in scientific and standardized language;improving the design of introduction based on students’ reality;refining teaching activities and attaching importance to the role of pre-design;teaching students how to learn by analogy and strengthening consolidation exercises;attaching importance to classroom summaries and giving good guidance to students;cultivating core literacy based on teaching contents;creating teaching contexts based on students’ characteristics. |
