Biology experiment teaching makes student experience logical inference when observing life phenomenon,so that they can grasp the life law and form the life idea,it is an indispensable part of biology teaching.Biology curriculum reforms in our country pay attention to the inquiry study of students and students can develop own scientific inquiry ability in Biology experiment teaching.The high school biology experiment report is a tool for assisting biology experiment teaching.It can be used for students to record the experiment content and process to improve students'experimental learning efficiency and enhance their understanding of experimental conditions.In order to solve the problem of low efficiency and unsatisfactory effect of biological experiment teaching,many experts and first-line teachers have carried out research on using experimental reports to improve the efficiency of experimental teaching.Studies have proven that experimental reports can effectively improve such problems,but most studies use only one experiment as an example and practice is not universal.This project expects to obtain a high school biology experiment report that can be applied to different teaching situations and can improve the efficiency of experimental teaching and students' scientific inquiry ability through practical exploration.This paper designed a new experimental report template by studying a large number of literature related to the experimental report to help students improve the efficiency of experimental learning and effectively develop scientific inquiry capabilities.The template divided the experimental report into three columns,Pre-learning section included the experiment title,purpose,principle,reagents and instruments,operation process and expected results.This section can be used for secondary design of teachers to fit their own teaching design.It can also be used as a written assignment to improve students' previewing effect.The feedback section of the class asked students to reflect on the problems encountered in the experimental operation through the experimental results and analyze the causes of the conjecture.The post-course inquiry section asked students to come up with questions that are worth exploring in an experiment after the experiment and expound their exploration plans.Combining design experiments,verification experiments,and exploratory experiments with different types of experiments,the experimental report templates are redesigned to form experimental reports and applied to experimental teaching for applied research.The object of the action research was students in two parallel classes at the first grade of Xinhua Middle School in Yangzhou.The students were divided into experimental group and control group according to the class.In the first semester of the senior high school,the experimental group used the experimental report to conduct the teaching while the control group performed the normal way.The action research proved that more than 60%of students are willing to fill out the experimental report of this topic and the experimental report is more suitable for students who are interested in this subject and have enough spare time.Students believed that the experiment report can help them learn experiment and think mentally.Through the use of new experimental reports,students ware more careful in previewing and listening the experimental class.They ware more willing to think and explore the answers to the questions in the experiment and the correct rate of the students' experimental exercises was higher.In addition,observations,interviews,questionnaires,and test results show that students'scientific inquiry ability has been better developed after using the experimental report for one-stage learning,in which the ability of students to raise questions and analyze problems has changed significantly.This article found experimental teaching need to be assisted by instruction in biological experimental teaching through practice.Teachers' reasonable use of the secondary design of the experimental report template of this project in combination with the actual teaching environment can effectively improve the experimental teaching effect and cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability.The valuable questions raised by the students in the experiment report can be used as teachers' explore topics that promote teacher professional development.The limited sample and case of this study can only provide reference for the teachers.The further development and use of the experimental report of this project needs to learn lessons from more samples and cases.
