Under the background of the new round of curriculum reform,the biology experiment teaching in senior high school emphasizes facing all the students and advocating the students to take the initiative to participate in the inquiry learning process in order to improve the scientific inquiry ability."Scientific Inquiry" is one of the important contents of the 2017 edition of the Core Literacy of Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High School,including the following elements: asking questions,making assumptions,making plans,implementing plans,information processing,and drawing conclusions.Cooperation and communication,reflection and evaluation.In the experimental teaching,the application of the scientific inquiry teaching mode and the correspondence between the teaching content and the training index of the "scientific inquiry" ability can stimulate the students’ interest in learning and help the students.Consolidate the knowledge of teaching materials,give full play to the value of experimental classroom teaching,and improve students’ scientific inquiry literacy.Based on this,this study takes "cultivating the scientific inquiry ability of senior high school students in experimental teaching" as the core problem,and takes the freshmen of Panyu campus of Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School as the experimental object.The self-control experiment was used to carry on the practical research in the biology classroom of senior high school,and according to the research results,the effect of the scientific inquiry model in cultivating the scientific inquiry ability was explored.The results of the questionnaire show that the scientific inquiry ability of senior high school students has been significantly improved,in which there are significant differences between the two dimensions: making assumptions,cooperation and communication,and there are significant differences in planning,information processing,reflection and evaluation.However,due to the fact that the learning atmosphere of each class is not synchronized with the development of students’ learning,it is inconsistent in some dimensions,but it is obviously improved as a whole.At the same time,although the overall results of scientific inquiry ability have been improved,there are still many students at the general level,whichshows that the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability can not be formed in a short period of time,in other words,teachers need to be long in experimental teaching.Stage penetration,in order to achieve obvious results.Secondly,the results of the test paper show that the average score of the scientific inquiry questions in the two experimental classes is improved obviously,which verifies the feasibility of the scientific inquiry teaching model in improving the students’ academic performance.The results of the interview show that it is very necessary for teachers to cultivate students’ scientific inquiry ability in biology classroom,but due to the present situation of examination-oriented education,they do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of students’ scientific inquiry ability.Therefore,there is no more implementation of the corresponding teaching measures in teaching.To improve this situation,teachers put forward the following suggestions for experimental teaching to cultivate students’ scientific inquiry ability:(1)schools should pay more attention to the education and teaching of biology subjects,(2)teachers should encourage students to actively participate in scientific inquiry activities;(3)Experimental teaching should make clear the task of scientific inquiry and training;(4)Teachers should carry out scientific exploration to students at ordinary times.The essential connotation of the study;(5)Teachers should improve students’ sense of self-efficacy in learning.To sum up,the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability needs teachers to combine the characteristics of biology curriculum,select the teaching content design,speed up the requirements for the all-round development of students,in order to achieve obvious results.
