Critical thinking is a kind of cognitive activity under the guidance of dialectical materialism.The cultivation of critical thinking in history teaching in middle school conforms to the requirements of the new curriculum reform,meets the national standards of talent training,and meets the teaching requirement of the characteristics of the history subject.In order to find out the present situation of application of critical thinking in history teaching in middle school,and cultivate students' critical thinking better..Based on the questionnaire of history teachers in Nanning County Middle School and the interview with L Middle School students,it is found that the cultivation of critical thinking in middle school teaching needs to be further strengthened.According to the current research situation and teaching reality,some strategic suggestions are put forward: first,teachers should change traditional educational concepts,learn to design questions at different levels,and cultivate students' ability to think independently;second,students also need to develop learning habits,learning and thinking independently;third,teachers should use multiple historical materials to assist teaching;fourth,integrate various teaching models to strengthen rational criticism;fifth,establish appropriate thinking evaluation system.In addition,some principles should be adhered to in the process of cultivating students' critical thinking,such as dialectical materialism,openness and cooperation.
