With the popularity of Chinese,it is becoming increasingly common for Chinese teachers to go overseas to engage in intercultural education.The promotion of international Chinese education has indeed promoted cultural exchanges among different countries,but the existence of intercultural teacher-student conflicts have also brought great challenges to Chinese teachers and foreign students.What the cause of the teacher-student conflict is and how to deal with the teacher-student conflict are questions worthy of consideration by every cross-cultural educator.On the basis of mastering the relevant literature and materials,this study takes the real case of teacher-student conflict as the breakthrough point,carries on the analysis and research with the help of the relevant theory of intercultural communication,and reveals the root causes of teacher-student conflict in the Chinese classroom in the United States: the cultural differences between China and the United States and the lack of intercultural communicative competence between teachers and students;and combining with the cultivation of intercultural communicative competence,the author puts forward three considerations to deal with the teacher-student conflicts: to correct understanding of intercultural teacher-student conflict,and to have the ability of intercultural perception;to cope with the teacher-student conflict and to improve the ability of intercultural cognition;to reflect on the teacher-student conflicts and to cultivate the ability of intercultural behavior.
