Expository teaching plays an important role in the Chinese teaching of the middle school.However,from the reality of the Chinese teaching,the teaching value of expository has not been paid enough attention in the junior middle School.With the fast development of science and technology,the reading and writing ability of the expository is becoming more and more important in students' future life.With the proposition of "Chinese key competencies" and the unified use of the Chinese textbooks compiled by the ministry of education,we need to re-examine the teaching value of the expository,point out the problems existing in the present teaching of expository in the middle school and put forward the corresponding solutions.In this paper,the author mainly sums up some problems existing in the present teaching of expository in the middle school,for example: the problem of selections of the Chinese textbooks,teachers' teaching of expository,students' learning of expository,expository teaching evaluation and so on.Then,the author tries to analyzes the reasons of these problems in a comprehensive and detailed way.Lastly,the author tries to put forward some strategies to solve the related problems based on the New Chinese Curriculum standard in 2011 and the "Chinese key competencies".
