Curriculum content as the basis and core of curriculum,is the carrier of the curriculum.Focused on the phenomenon in reality there are some course contents make learners become remembers,receivers of the text,and students' task is just reciting and repeating,the paper developed research on curriculum content as an object of understanding.Put forward the connotation of curriculum content as an object of understanding: curriculum content is not only a factual entity but also a student's object of understanding,and it exists as a different meaning that different individuals understand.Curriculum content,as the object of interpretation and understanding,is interpreted by students from their experience,which is a dynamic,continuous explanation and constantly generative process.In practice,the paper put course contents as an understanding object into practical investigation.Through the research,we found that the students understand the course contents is too dependent on the textbook;the students are lack of the ability and the power as well as the motivation of understanding the course contents.According to these four issues,put forward the corresponding countermeasures respectively,that is the practical path of the course contents as an object of understanding.In theory,it takes hermeneutics as the theoretical basis to study the course contents that exists as the object of understanding.The traditional hermeneutics believes to understand the curriculum contents is to copy and reproduce the intent and purpose of curriculum designer;while philosophical hermeneutics supposes that the curriculum contents,as the object of understanding,is in continuous explanatory and developed process;the essence of understanding is creation and curriculum contents should be innovative,advancing with the times.Based on philosophical hermeneutics,the paper described the understanding process of the course contents as an interpretation object.According to the concept of philosophical hermeneutics,we take "pre-understanding" as the premise of understanding,and "horizon integration" as the process of understanding,taking the “understanding circulation” and “meaning creation” as the results of understanding.Based on the problems found in the survey and the process of understanding the course content,the practical path of the course contents as an object of understanding is put forward.The First path,from the premise of understanding the content of the course,is to accumulate the "pre-understanding" of the students by providing students with rich,open and interactive materials.Second,the process of students' understanding of curriculum contents is the process of "Horizon integration".Therefore,we must speed up the "Horizon integration" between students and curriculum contents: cultivate students' initiative,equal and reflective dialogue ability.Lastly,based on the results of students understanding course contents,to achieve "understanding circulation" : to guarantee the students' power to understand the course contents,including the power of being subject,the power of speech and evaluation power;Complete the "meaning of creation" : to help students to arouse the motivation to understand the course contents.
