Self-control is the core element of children personality formation a nd the foundation for children to accomplish various tasks, coordinate relationsh ips with others and successfully adapt themselves to society;Age 8 to 9 is a c ritical and rapid period for school children to learn self-control;Sports have a si gnificant promotion effect on self-control development; The development of brain nervous system has an important influence on children's self-control ability.Sw imming has a role in shaping the superior nervous system and cognitive behavi oral ability. Therefore,it is important to interfere children's self-control from 8 to9 years old from sports perspective.Based on summarizing previous theories about self-control,self-control train ing of school children and the relationship between sports and self-control,this paper uses methods of literature materials and experimental research methods to interfere children aged 8 to 9 years with moderate intensity breaststroke ac tivities in 12 weeks. In this research,we take "Self-control teacher assessment questionnaire for primary school students" to measure and analyze the influenc e of moderate intensity breaststroke activities on children's self-control ability. After intervention completes, the effects of moderate intensity breaststroke on self control ability of children aged 8 to 9 years were examined during 12 weeks through "Self-control teacher assessment questionnaire for primary school students".Therefore, this paper gets the following conclusions:1.The results of the study:(1)After 6 week,s moderate intensity breaststroke intervention(Breaststroke),children in experimental group and control children had significant differences in self control overall level(P<0.01).There were significant differences between experimental group and control group in consciousness and persistence dimension in five dimensions(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between experimental group and control group on impulse inhibition planning and self delayed gratificationdimension(P>0.05).(2)After 12 weeks' moderate intensity breaststroke intervention(Breaststroke),children in experimental group's self-control ability overall level was significantly higher than those in control group.(P<0.01)Among them, consciousness persistence and self delay satisfaction dimension showed significant difference between children in experimental group and control group(P<0.01)There are significant differences on impulse inhibition dimension(P<0.05)There is no significant difference in planning dimensions(P>0.05).(3)After 6 weeks' moderate intensity breaststroke(Breaststroke)interventions,it showed significant differences between girls and boys in experimental group on self-control overall level(P<0.01)On specific dimensions, girls were higher than boys in persistence and self delay satisfaction dimension, and significant difference was found between girls and boys.(P<0.05)There are no significant differences in impulse inhibition planning and conscientiousness dimensions(P>0.05)Girls are higher than boys.(4)After 12 weeks' moderate intensity breaststroke(Breaststroke)intervention,it showed significant gender differences among children in experimental group on self-control overall level and persistence dimension.(P<0.05)There were no significant gender differences among four dimensions: impulse inhibition planning, conscientiousness and self delay satisfaction(P>0.05)Girls are higher than boys.2.The research conclusion:(1)There was significant influence on self control ability among children aged 8 to9 during 12 weeks' breaststroke(Breaststroke).breaststroke could improve self control ability of children aged 8 to 9 years. There are significant influences on conscientiousness persistence impulse inhibition and self delay satisfaction which have no significant impact on planning dimension.(2)There were gender differences between 8 to 9 years old children's self-control ability during 12 weeks' breaststroke(Breaststroke),and significant differences existed between overall level and persistence dimension of self control.Consciousness planning, impulse, inhibition and planning have no significant difference.Girls were higher than boys in their self-control overall level consciousness, impulse, inhibition, persistence, planning and self-delay satisfaction.
