The "13th Five-Year" tourism development planning "formulation, indicates that China's tourism industry ushered in a new golden period,is also the need of the tourism talents. Both schools and enterprises pay more attention and expectation to tourism majors, which will raise higher requirements for students majoring in tourism management. However,we also see that in recent years, the employment situation of tourism professional students and the rapid development of tourism industry has formed a huge contrast.Let's not help thinking about the problem of tourism education. There are many objective factors, but the concern for student body has been ignored.Especially for students majoring in tourism management, they decide what kind of attitude they will take to choose their major. After four years of professional study, then to enter the tourism industry. In the process, new knowledge and knowledge constantly impact students' cognition of their majors, and the balance structure of students' professional cognition structure is constantly broken, resulting in students' cognitive dissonance in this field. This will affect the learning effect and quality, even affect the final employment direction of the students, cause the loss of tourism talents and influence the development of the tourism industry. Therefore, balancing the professional cognition disorder of Tourism Management Majors in learning process, improving teaching effect and enhancing students' professional identity, can provide tourism talents with high ability and quality. From the psychological level,Festinger's cognitive dissonance theory is one of the theoretical foundations of this paper based on one of the most influential and widely applied theories in social psychology. He believes that cognitive disharmony occurs when a person receives a disagreement between a new cognition and an existing cognitive element. This makes people feel nervous, uneasy, and uncomfortably anxious.People tend to be inwardly consistent in order to find a sense of comfort and balance.Festinger proposed three ways to reduce cognitive imbalance, change attitudes or change their behavior, and increase new cognition to achieve cognitive balance. The theory also gives a systematic introduction to the sources, results and degrees of cognitive dissonance. The theory provides a solid theoretical guidance for the study of professional cognitive dissonance in the course of tourism management. This paper first to the domestic and foreign cognitive dissonance theory are reviewed, through empirical investigation, using SPSS 16.0 and NVIVO qualitative analysis software were analyzed respectively on the subjective level the students' professional level of cognitive dissonance and objective analysis on students' cognitive disorders, professional source, results are discussed. Finally, combining the theory of cognitive dissonance, this paper puts forward a practical and practical method to alleviate the professional cognitive dissonance of the undergraduate students of tourism management. To improve teaching effect and enable students to have solid tourism professional knowledge and professional skills, and to be able to work creatively, provide high-quality services for the society, and make certain contributions to the development of tourism.
