With the continuous improvement of the level of industrial development in China,the demand for technical talents is increasing,and the higher demands are also put forward on the quality of personnel training.As an integral part of vocational education,secondary vocational education plays an increasingly important role in cultivating technical talent for the country.The research of psychology shows that motivation is a very important factor that affects students ' academic achievement.However,in the teaching of computer application basic courses in secondary vocational schools,students face a very serious problem that students are not interested in the course and their learning motivation is low.Therefore,secondary vocational education urgently needs to update educational concepts and explore new types of teaching models and methods.This paper integrates the ARCS Motive Model into the teaching of the basic computer application course in secondary vocational schools.It can better inspire and maintain students' learning motivation,continuously improve teaching effectiveness,and promote the innovative development of secondary vocational education.This paper adopts the literature research method to comb the development of the domestic and foreign ARCS Motivation Model and its application status in teaching.It grasps the concept connotation of the learning motivation and its relationship with the learning effect,and deeply understands the basic theory of the ARCS Motivation Model.In order to design more effective motivational strategies to stimulate students ' interest in learning,this paper investigates the non-computer majors in Dalian Light Industry School by means of questionnaires to understand the learning needs,learning interests and learning attitude of secondary vocational students,and lays the foundation for the follow-up motivation strategy.This paper focuses on the teaching design and practice exploration of the ARCS Motivation Model in the basic Computer application course in secondary vocation...
