Role Conflicts Of Social Workers In Community Services And Countermeasures

After the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth National Congress in 2006,China began to explore the professionalization and professional development of social work.In particular,in 2008,the occupational level evaluation standard for social work was introduced,and the pace of professionalization and professional development of social work was formally initiated.After more than 10 years of rapid development,the current social work has made considerable progress.There are more than 700,000 professional social workers,more than 6,000 professional social worker organizations,and 200,000 specialized professionzal posts2.Community social work has become a social One of the important areas of job professionalism and specialization.Although social work has achieved a lot in community service,it also faces many challenges.Especially as social work gradually moves from outside the system into the system,the roles of social workers have become more apparent,such as the conflict.Restrictions on the administrative system,in-depth difficulties in professional services,and conflicts between residents and community needs.At present,many domestic scholars have explored this issue and put forward their own opinions,but they lacked an in-depth analysis of the role of social workers in community service.Therefore,it'is necessary to explore the role conflicts of social workers in community services in order to provide useful reference for the advancement of social work professional services.This research takes the social role theory as the theoretical framework for the research,adopts the case study method,and conducts research on three social workers in the community service project of the H agency in the city of X,and uses semi-structured interviews and literature to collect relevant research materials.Through analysis,it is found that:1.Social workers face the contradictions in the role requirements of neighborhood committees for social workers and the contradictions in residents' demands for social workers in community project services;2.Social workers face different roles and requirements.The role conflicts faced at the time are mainly manifested in the conflicts within the roles and the conflicts between the roles;3.Social workers adopt different strategies when balancing the requirements of different roles,including:appropriately satisfying the needs of residents under the administration,finding key cases,and doing project publicity And ensure the timely communication of information;4.The basis for social workers to balance the requirements of community residents' committees and community residents in community services includes:aligning the work of residents' committees with the needs of residents,and antagonizing the professional services of social work and the administrative services of neighborhood committees.The rise and emphasis on social work only serve residents.The findings of this study will help social workers understand in depth the role conflicts they face in community services,learn to balance the needs of residents and communities,find ways to develop social work professional services in the community,and provide professional and localized social work for local communities.Provide useful reference.In addition,due to limitations in the researcher's ability and time arrangement,the social role theory is not sufficiently and rigorously applied in this study;in the research object,the sample size is insufficient;there is research data in the collection and processing of research data.Not deep enough and there is no in-depth observation of the specific interaction process between social workers and community residents' committees and community residents.The study is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,introduces the research background,goals and significance,and determines the research questions of this study as follows:(1)How do social workers deal with different requirements of community residents' committees and community residents in community service?Is there a role conflict?(2)If social conflicts are encountered,how do social workers balance the demands of community residents' committees and community residents?What is the basis of balance?The second chapter is a review of the literature.They introduced the research on the development history of community services,the research on community governance,the research on social workers participating in community services,and the research on the role conflicts of social workers.Through reviewing and reviewing,they can clearly understand the society.How do workers enter the community to carry out services in the context of social governance?What is the predicament and the processing strategy?The third chapter is the research design,and introduces the research theoretical framework and research methods.This study adopts the structural role theory and process role theory in social role theory as the theoretical framework of the research,and analyzes the problem of the role conflicts social workers face in community services.This study uses case study methods to conduct research and select the X city.The three social workers in the H agency community service project are the research subjects,while the research data collection methods are the literature and semi-structure interviews.The fourth chapter is the research findings and analysis of how social workers deal with communities in community services.The different requirements of the residents'committees and community residents and the specific role conflicts they face;Thefifth chapter is the research and discussion,focusing on the ways in which social workers balance the requirements of community residents' committees and community residents and the basis for the services behind them;Chapter 6 is a summary of the research.And limitations,briefly summed up the main findings of the study,introduced the deficiencies in this study.
