Research On The Involvement Of Community Residents By Social Workers

Community residents are the main force to participate in community construction,but the residents lack of awareness and ability to participate is an important problem in the current community governance.Cultivating participation consciousness and enhancing participation ability is the only way to encourage residents to take part in the action.In this paper,through the mutual integration of theoretical guidance and practical intervention,the effective integration of awareness cultivation,empowerment and empowerment,democratic consultation,self-organization cultivation and other practices has formed a perfect path for social work to intervene residents to participate in community governance.Based on the intervention practice of X community in Suzhou City,this paper uses research methods such as semi-structured interview method and participatory observation method to explore the model of social work involvement in residents’ participation in community governance.The study found that X community has the following problems: residents lack of enthusiasm for participation,residents are difficult to solve community problems,administrative tendency is obvious,the content of participation is single.Low sense of belonging,the author found that community residents to participate in ability insufficiency,the low degree of communication channel impeded,the organization of the community development is the main cause of loss of community residents to participate in,and the advantages of professional social work from the aspects of residents in promoting community participation is a feasible path,on the regional development model to promote community residents to participate in public affairs.In the process of social work intervention,residents are guided to pay attention to community activities and public affairs through community public activities;By improving the knowledge and technology of community residents’ governance,the autonomy and creativity of residents can be mobilized.We will build a platform for democratic consultation and expand channels for communication and coordination to meet the common interests of residents.By activating the construction of self-organization,expanding the contents of residents’ participation to enhance their enthusiasm for participation,residents’ participation in community governance is involved from the above four aspects.With the intervention of social work,residents’ awareness and ability to participate are quite effective: community residents’ satisfaction is improved,and residents’ ability and awareness to participate in community public affairs are also improved.On the other hand,there are still some deficiencies in the whole intervention process,which are mainly manifested as the shallow level of community participation,the failure to solve the overall resource and system problems,the need to improve the energy augmentation system and scope,and the lack of professional competence of social workers.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the incentive mechanism of residents’ participation,rely on the government and other external forces,popularize the scope of residents’ participation,and systematically improve the professional ability of social workers,so as to promote residents’ community participation.
