Vocational schools have educated a large number of skill-oriented talents for our society,and people in various fields are concerned about the mental health of vocational schools students.However,in current educational practice,vocational school students have a variety of mental problems,which shows students'mental health is in a worrying situation.Therefore,it is significant to test the mental health status of vocational school students,find the reasons for students' mental problems,and take measures to improve students'the mental health.The author uses SCL-90 scale to conduct the stratified sampling test on students at J Vocational School in HenanProvince,collects 3057 valid questionnaires on line.The purposes of this survey are understanding the mental health status of vocational school students,analyzing the causes of students' mental problems,and finding out ways to improve students'the mental health.In this paper,the author processes the data according to the following nine aspects:the detection rate of mental problems,norm comparison,gender differences test,the differences between single-sex classes and balanced sex classes,the differences between examination-oriented classes and employment oriented classes,the differences between high school classes and vocational examination-oriented classes,major differences test,grade differences test,top ten symptoms analysis.The analysis shows that 38.86%of vocational school students have mild psychological problems and 11.68%of them have severe psychological problems,but their overall level is higher than high school students.SCI-90 factors with high scores are hostility,terror,interpersonal sensitivity,and coercion.The mental health of female students is worse than that of boys,which is mainly reflected in the two factors:anxiety and terror.Students in employment-oriented classes have better mental status than examination-oriented classes.Students in high school classes have worse mental status than vocational examination-oriented classes.By comparing six majors,the author finds that students in Art have most psychological problems,followed by Auto Repair and Construction.The grade differences test shows that the grade one students have the lowest level of mental health,and there is no significant difference between grade two and grade three.The survey lists ten of the most common symptoms of psychological problems.In view of the results and relevant cases,the author analyzes the reasons for students'mental problems from four aspects:individual factors,family factors,school factors and social factors.Generally,students'the mental health of J Vocational School need to be improved.Therefore,seven suggestions are offered in this paper:the awareness of mental health of vocational students should be enhanced by the government and the leaders of schools;service teams for students' mental health should be specialized as soon as possible;classroom teaching and extracurricular activities should be made use of fully to achieve full penetration of mental health education;intervention system should be established so as to screen,prevent and intervene mental problems of vocational school students;families and schools should be combined to form a joint force;social environment should be purified,providing good education environment for vocational school students;vocational students play initiative roles in helping each other to improve their mental health.
