Exploration On The Use Of History And Film Resources In High School History Class

With the development of science and technology,our means of education is becoming more and more diversified.Nowadays,in this highly technological world,multimedia devices and network resources are more and more widely applied to the high school history classroom teaching.Movie resources,as one of the important parts of the history curriculum resources,have been attached increasingly great importance.According to the Standard of Senior High School History Curriculum(experiment),published in 2003,the students' ability of reading and getting more information via different channels should be further improved.However,compared with other history resources,history movie resources,which are combined with words,pictures,flash,sounds and so on,can not only bring our past history back to life through vivid presentations,but also can greatly enrich history information,making up for the time limit in class and teachers' knowledge limitation in history.Therefore,history movie resources can enrich students' history knowledge,motivate students' interest in history and improve class teaching efficiency and teachers' teaching ability,as a result of which,we should make full use of these important resources in history classes.At the same time,the application of the history movie resources in the high school history classroom is a "double-edged sword".With the development of movie and TV arts,more and more the history movies are appearing in the screen,some of them are based on historical facts,while some make some adaptations according to the needs of movie rather than historical facts,thus conveying false historical information to the audience.In other words,we should be aware of the fact that history movies are of different varieties and qualities,knowing how to take the advantages over the disadvantages in our classes.When using history movies,we should also take some special applications into consideration,especially in rural senior high school history classes.Under the new curriculum reform's guidance,this paper attempts to analyze students' expectation of history movies,emphasize the importance and matters needing attention of history movies' application in teaching and explore the effects of history movies' application.The author believes that using history movies in teaching can play a more and more important role in advancing the new curriculum reform and building more efficient and interesting classes in teaching history.
