The Influences Of Supervision Absence On Social Work Internship

In the course of social work internships,the supervision of social work internships will directly affect the performance of social work internships and largely determine the quality of social work internships.Once the supervisor absence occurs,it will produce an immeasurable impact on the practice of social work.Based on three different practical experiences in the Z Social Workers Service Center,the M Social Workers Service Center and the L Social Workers Service Center,I try to discuss different effects from three types of supervisory vacancy on the social work internship.Through three different internship experiences and participation,I categorized supervision and summed up three types of supervisory vacancies:no supervision,unsupervised supervision and formalized supervision,and introduced in detail the different impacts of three kinds of way about supervisory absence phenomena before the project is launched,during project development,and after project implementation.The study points out the common influences of the three types of supervisory vacancy on social work internships:unclear orientation of internships,lack of professional internships,and lack of confidence,we can further analyze the reasons for the lack of supervision:the conditions of the internship.institutions are not available,the professionalism of the internship supervision is not sufficient,the responsibility of internship supervision is not clear,the work of internship supervision is busy,and the internship students lack of motivation to learn in practice.At the same time,in order to resolve the phenomenon of lack of supervision,I put forward some proposals to strengthen the supervision role of social work practice from the government,internship institutions,internship supervision,internship students,and so on.
