The Study Of Social Work For Poor Family Due Toillness In Psychological Adjustment

Since the government take targeted measures in poverty alleviation,all localities have taken a series of measures to carry out the work of poverty alleviation,and they have achieved certain achievements in combination with their own practice,but some problems have appeared,such as they only focus on improving the income of the poor,ignoring psychological adjustment.In the rural areas,there are so many poor people because of illness,their problems is very complicated,we should concern in their material and spiritual,if we want to help these groups to achieve the task of poverty reduction,not only to help from the economic side,but also from the psychological aspects of adjustment,alleviating the psychological pressure of the poor in rural areas and helping the poor families to restore confidence in life,improving their ability of to be out of poverty from themselves.This paper taking the poor households in the village of FS in Linyi as an example,investigating the poor families through a visit to this village,author finds that the poor families who are ill will have psychological problems under the double pressure of economic and disease,such as inferiority,autism,anxiety and depression.The objective reason is that the individual and family support system is bad,they lack of formal and informal social support.The subjective reason lies in the individuals irrational thoughts have appeared.The effects between these two reasons caused poverty family have more psychological problems.The author selected a family from FS village as a case study,using social support theory,rational emotional therapy and other social work concepts and practical methods to help this family get better,adjusting their psychological problems.We could collect family data and establishing professional relationships,analyzing the problems of this specific family,evaluating the actual needs of the family,and then formulating the proper service plans,implementing the intervention program,finally,evaluating the effect of this case work,carrying out the follow-up service to help poverty family solve their problems.In the early stage of intervention,social workers provide government and employment support for the family,building social support platform and adjusting the bad psychology of family members because of economic poverty.In the middle period,we could solve economic problems to relieve their psychological pressure,discovering and changing of their irrational thoughts.Helping them get confidences,reshape the family positive atmosphere,provide informal social support,such as neighborhoods and friends,improve the social support system for the service object,achieve the goal and task of social work to intervene in psychological adjustment.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions in other poverty problems on the basis of summarizing the case services' experience.We could link social resources,provide social support,adjust psychological conditions and cultivate social workers to solve the problem of psychological poverty in rural poor groups.
