As a unique art course,Ceramic art has gradually developed and expanded in children's art education in China,It has the characteristics and advantages comparing with others.This art is the nature of free creative spirit that has long been in the hearts of children,which is of great significance for children's physical and mental development,innovative thinking ability and practical ability.Ceramic art is popular with low grades of primary school students through a special way.In the Ceramic art class,students use hands or simple tools to create pottery,in the practice operating process,children's coordination ability have significantly improved,and gained rich emotional experience at the same time,It has high value in children's education.While multi-cultural education is advocated in the whole world,Ceramic art combines many kinds of knowledge and skills in Art Teaching.Ceramic art is the special form of art among low grades of primary school students.First of all,it attract students 'interest in art,teachers can transmit knowledge and emotion imperceptibly,and encourage students to express ideas.It may foster their creativity and practical abilities.It's an effective way that children boost their confidence through showcasing their accomplishments and gaining respect from others.All of these will benefit students' life-long learning.This paper expounds the characteristics and educational value of children's Ceramic art in the light of related literature.To explore the more plasticity of Ceramic art and the teaching points in the practice by directing students to practice.Teachers pertinently put forward the curriculum focus by using teaching skills.The author is based on the exploration of the practice of Ceramic art teaching,designs the course aiming to cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability,and establish the evaluating methods.At last,follow up on students to see how they feel after their session.The author aims to find a diversified teaching mode based on the educational value of Ceramic art to cultivate students' innovative thinking ability and practical ability in low grades.This paper complement achievements of Ceramic art to give reference advice to the teachers who are promoting the teaching of Ceramic art.
