Ceramic art is a synthetic art; it has undergone a complex and lengthy history of cultural heritage. It is the kind of typical Chinese art, and occupies the core of Chinese culture. In recent years, the synthetic art has achieved rapid development in the field of art under the impetus of pottery education. Currently, ceramic art is one of the important projects for the primary school after the publishment of the primary and secondary schools on ceramic art education policy. In the requirements of traditional Chinese cultural heritage and in the continuous integration of traditional and modern science, ceramic art education is attached to the development of students’ overall cultural knowledge development. Thus, good education of ceramic art has become an essential part of the quality education. The starting point of this paper is the Jiangxi xinyu the pottery course conditions and do not have the pottery studio. The purpose of the primary school ceramic art education is cultivating students’ innovative ability, manipulative ability and thinking ability, so we do not need to learn all the production methods. The basic method of making pottery is the sculpture molding method which is very suitable for the primary school students to learn and use. It is the most primitive pottery making and one of the most basic methods. Sculpture molding method also can provide the basic level of exercise and the very first beginner’s experience of mud-thickness, hard and wet for the students. You can use your hands rather than other tools to handle the shape of clay in the shape you want which is one of the oldest methods of making pottery. This proved the feasibility of ceramic art education in elementary schools. The topic of this paper is the changing of the version of the GANMEI textbook.According to psychology, only one pottery class for each semester is not good for the continuity teaching of knowledge and the implementation and development of ceramic art teaching. Therefore, I designed a three-lesson one unit teaching method to better promote the development and utilization of Chinese traditional ceramic art culture.
