Studies On High School Calligraphy And School-based Curriculum

As an important and indispensable part of traditional Chinese culture,calligraphy art has a high artistic value and long history.Calligraphy can not only make people feel relax,but also can cultivate the character.It can be said that the history of calligraphy based on the teaching of education.At present,Chinese calligraphy education has a great development,but there is still a large deficiency.Our studies base on the deficiency existing in the calligraphy education and develop the curriculum of calligraphy education in high school.In this study,conclusion could be reached through the analysis from the questionnaire survey.At last,suitable strategy of calligraphy education teaching for high school students has been made.This course includes the introduction of theoretical knowledge,practical courses,appreciation of famous works,and students' creation.The content of the course includes:the first chapter mainly introduce the generality of calligraphy,four treasures of calligraphy including pen,ink,paper and inkstone,the appreciation of famous and representative works indifferent periods,etc.;The second chapter focuses on the training courses of structure,brushwork,space and line.The third chapter mainly discusses the creation methods of calligraphy and the various kinds of calligraphy.This study set the clear point of view and the practice exploration direction firstly.Based on the relative background research,the present situation of high school calligraphy education has been discussed by questionnaire summarizes.The relevant causes and formulation of high school characteristics were made as a unique calligraphy art.This study clearly introduce the school-based curriculum development of calligraphy in school,the teaching activities of calligraphy,the method in calligraphy teaching strategies,and the situation of calligraphy course resources.The development of school-based curriculum takes the strengthening of official script,seal script and the characteristic teaching method of kaishu as the bright spot.Finally,the contents of this study were summarized and the insufficiencies were discovered.Although our studies come to an end,but the research direction is an endless road,we need to persevere in critical spirit to move forward.
