School-age children are facing critical health threats as schoolwork pressures and the lack of safe and convenient sports facilities,as well as other fat-generating environments gradually emerge.The development trend of the obesity rate in this crowd is worrying.The survey found that only 29.9% of children and adolescents in China meet the recommendation of “minimum 60 minutes of daily physical activity”,and only 3 out of every 10 people could achieve “excellent” or “good” levels in the “national exercise standards”.37% failed to meet the recommendation of “no more than 2 hours of screen time per day”.The obesity rate which measured by a percentage of body mass index(BMI)is as high as 12%...Table Tennis,as China's national ball game,has the characteristics of high speed,great varieties,strong skills,and high interest.It is not limited by age,gender and physical conditions,and has wide applicability and high exercise value.Therefore,this study introduced the table tennis prescriptive exercise to promote the physical health of school-aged children,discussed the advantages and disadvantages of table tennis for school-age children's physical health promotion,and the scientific of school-age children's table tennis specified training and other issues,and proposed the promotion of table tennis.Effective measures for physical health of school-age children.In this study,randomly selected 100 school-age children who participated in at least half a year of professional training in table tennis at Yangquan Sports School and Yangquan City Sports School in Shanxi Province as the experimental group and the control group,randomly selected 100 school-age children,who have not participated in professional sports training,from Xiacheng Elementary School and Beiling Primary School in Yangquan City as the experimental group and the control group,with 50 in each group.Through comparison and analysis of test data before and after the experimental method,the following results were obtained:(1)The differences in the measurements of the right upper arm of relaxation,the measurements of right upper arm in tension in the experimental group and the control group were highly significant(p < 0.01).In school-aged children with training basis,the proportion of "O" legs in the experimental group was 10% higher than that of the "0" legs in the control group;in the school-age children without training basis,the "O" type in the experimentalgroup The proportion of legs was 14% higher than that of the “0” leg in the control group.Among school age children with training basis,the proportion of scoliosis in the experimental group was 6% higher than that of the control group;in school-age children without training basis,the proportion of scoliosis in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group.The bend ratio is 6% higher.Among school-age children with training basis,the proportion of humpback in the experimental group was 4% higher than that in the control group;among the school-age children with training basis,the proportion of humpback in the experimental group was 10% higher than that in the control group.The average weight gain of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the average increase value of height in the control group was lower than that of the experimental group.(2)Heart rate was not significantly different between the first and second time in the control group at rest,but in the experimental group,the second test value was significantly lower than the first test value.In the comparison of lung capacity,the mean increase value of the experimental group was more than that of the control group;the proportion of myopia in the control group was higher than that of the experimental group.(3)The differences in right hand grip strength,50 m run,4x10 m run,one minute skipping,and seated body flexion in the control and experimental groups were highly significant(p<0.01),both of which were greater in the experimental group than in the control group;There was no significant difference in left grip strength(p>0.05).Based on the above results,the conclusions are drawn as follows:(1)The early professional training of table tennis plays a greater role in promoting the heart rate,vital capacity and visual acuity of school-age children at rest;it has a greater effect on the physical quality of school-age children such as speed,endurance,strength,flexibility and agility.However,physical symptoms such as humpback,scoliosis and "0"-type leg are easy to appear.(2)The early professional training of table tennis can effectively regulate the weight of school-age children,but the school-age children who participated in table tennis training for a long period of time among the school-age children participating in the study are generallyolder than those who do not participate in table tennis training for a long time.Children grow slower.(3)The percentage of myopic school-age children who participated in table tennis is far lower than that of who do not participate in table tennis.This indicates that table tennis may help to improve children's vision.
