With the development of the times and the deepening of the reform of an art course,the creative development of local art teaching resources has become a major trend in the art education.Hainanese Li nationality's paper-cutting is not only an art form in Li nationality's life,but also a realistic carrier of their beliefs and customs,and an important part of the entire Li culture,related closely to other folk arts and cultural elements of our nation.In order to inherit and develop Hainanese folk art and stimulate students' national consciousness,this article is based on Li's paper-cutting art from the local Hainan,setting Li culture as a background,designing and implementing Li art course to explore the possi-bi-lity and direction of the development of Li's paper-cutting course.In the course of my research,I found that developing Hainanese Li nationality's paper-cutting course has the value of improving students' aesthetic and hands-on abilities,promoting students' recognition of Li culture,protecting traditional Li's paper-cutting culture and enriching middle school art course resources.According to Dewey's "Learning by Doing" and constructivism as the theoretical support and through a sound understanding of the interviews with teachers,the author developed and implemented a series of Hainanese Li's paper-cutting course,including three types of courses like "Hainanese Li's Paper-Cutting Appreciation"," Hainanese Li's Paper-Cutting Creation",and "Li's Paper-Cutting Contemporary Creation".Furthermore,according to the teaching reflection,the analysis of students' works,and the questionnaire of the teaching effect on students,four proposals for-selecting teaching content,constructing cultural atmosphere,enriching teaching methods and valuing teaching evaluations were given to grasp the right direction of curriculum development,thus promoting the development of Hainanese Li's paper-cutting characteristic course.
