Since the founding of People's Republic of China(PRC),our country has paid great attention to students' education problems,especially in sports.And the reform of China's sports syllabus has been carried out in all directions.Wushu was formally entered into the syllabus of primary and secondary school physical education in 1961,and since then it has become an indispensable part of the physical education course in primary and secondary schools.For the further development of Wushu among middle school students and pupils,set the primary and secondary school physical education syllabus(curriculum standards)promulgated since the founding of the People's Republic of China as the main research object,this paper mainly analyzes the evolution of Wushu teaching material in different stages combined with the background of the times,the school sports thoughts and the development of Wushu sports by searching literature,carrying out interview,logical analysis and other research methods.On this basis,the general rule of the evolution of Wushu teaching materials in the course of physical education in New China's primary and secondary schools is summed up,and some suggestions on the optimization of Wushu teaching materials are put forward.Combining with the development characteristics of Wushu teaching materials in the syllabus,this paper divides the evolution of the Wushu teaching materials in primary and middle schools since the founding of new China into six stages:infancy(1949-1956),Wushu was listed as a promotion project during this period.However,due to the fact that it appeared with good and bad mixed together,a policy of temporary contraction and rectifying was adopted and Wushu failed to enter the primary and middle school physical education curriculum in primary and secondary schools.Initial stage(1957-1965),in this period,Wushu textbooks were formally incorporated into the system of physical education materials.And basic skills and routines almost occupied all the contents of Wushu teaching materials in primary and secondary school physical education courses.Stagnation stage(1966-1976),it was in the period of the "Cultural Revolution",and the"stop class revolution" led to physical education as well as the related sports activities were cancelled,the Wushu teaching materials in the course of physical education also stagnated and even fell back.Recovery stage(1977-1987),the design and arrangement of Wushu teaching materials in this stage basically followed the previous syllabus.In addition,the attack and defense action was first added and the content of the routines was simplified.Extension stage(1988-2000),"Wushu" in the outline of this stage was renamed "National Traditional Sports",which increased Wuqinxi,eight section brocade and other Folk Wushu,and was referred to as "morality education".Differentiative stage(after 2001),the curriculum standard replaced the traditional PE syllabus.There is no provision for the content of specific Wushu teaching materials by merely providing a general content requirement.It can be seen from the evolution process of Wushu teaching materials:?The development of Wushu teaching materials has a distinctive epochal nature.?The close relationship between the reform of Wushu teaching materials and the development of Wushu.?The selection of the contents of Wushu teaching materials becomes more and more scientific.?Unity and flexibility of Wushu teaching materials.?Lack of Wushu teaching materials in the construction of Wushu Culture.?The content of Wushu teaching materials is too much,which stipulates that it can not be completed in regulation class.Through the above research,the following suggestions are put forward to the construction of Wushu teaching materials in the course of primary and middle school physical education in New China:? Strengthen the cultural and educational functions of Wushu teaching materials and highlight the characteristics of Wushu teaching materials.? Developing the school-based textbook of martial arts based on one or two kinds of Wushu skills.?Strengthen the professional accomplishment of Wushu teachers in primary and secondary schools and optimize the teaching materials for Wushu.
