The Cultivation Of Foreign Immigrants' Sense Of Community

As the process of global integration accelerates,the flow of population around the world increases,and immigrating to China become a new trend of international migration.The study of immigrants in China generally reflects the difficulty of immigrants'integration in China.The construction of harmonious community is an important way to innovate social management system in China,and it is also an important task to construct harmonious society.Therefore,under the background of globalization,it is a big challenge in the social work to give full play to the social integration function of the community to facilitate foreign immigrants to adapt to life in China.In this paper,OW Project is used to study the follow-up social work services of immigrants who live China from the perspective of cultivating sense of community.I try to explore how social workers can help immigrants who live in China adapt to the community life by cultivating the sense of community awareness of immigrants.From the practice perspective of cultivation of community sense,the cultivation and shape of the sense of community is closely related with the community daily life of community members.In my opinion,the cultivation of the sense of community is related to these four elements:Community participation,neighborhood interaction,social support of community and community life satisfaction.In the practice of sense of community cultivation,community participation is led by the cultivation of volunteers,to guide immigrants to understand the community environment,participate in community activities and care for community affairs.The neighborhood interaction is led by promoting the interaction between Chinese and foreign residents,to establish a network of Chinese and foreign residents,and help immigrants adapt to the daily life of the local community.Community social support is led by building the multicultural communication platform.We cooperate with the community residents' committees,to establish Chinese-foreign cultural exchanges platform,and help immigrants integrated into the local community life.Community life satisfaction is carried out through community environment construction.Through the action of cultivation of sense of community for foreign immigrants',the daily life service support of immigrants was established,and a multi-cultural exchange platform was built to promote the participation of immigrants in the community,and expand immigrants the social support network,and the interaction between Chinese and foreign residents was enhanced.Immigrants become actively to organize community activities and participate in community public affairs.These are positive signs that immigrants are integrating into local community life.
