Objective:Tai Chi is a kind of traditional fitness exercise that combines physical fitness and supportive temperament. It has now spread to more than 150 countries and regions, and has more than 300 million practitioners all over the world. In the medical and health field,Tai Chi has been recognized as an effective clinical rehabilitation and health care method.Studies have shown that Tai Chi has the effect of improving the body's proprioception and balance, exercising lower limb muscle strength, improving heart and lung function, and preventing Parkinson's disease. At present, domestic and international research on the mechanism of Tai Chi rehabilitation and damage is mainly from the biomechanical point of view to explore the mechanical characteristics of body and bone in Tai Chi exercise, and then analyze its clinical significance. However, existing studies mostly focused on mechanical analysis of the plantar and lower limb joints and muscles, lack of mechanical studies on the spine and surrounding muscles, and there are few dynamic analyses. Therefore, this study focuses on the spine bony structure and the biomechanical characteristics of the paraspinal muscles in the dynamic process of Tai Chi exercise, and analyzes the specific mechanical mechanism of Tai Chi exercise on the rehabilitation and damage of the spine and surrounding structures. This study has profound implications for exploring the spinal biomechanics of Tai Chi exercise and provides new ideas for biomechanical research of other rehabilitation sports.Meanwhile, the results of the study contribute to the improvement and optimization of Tai Chi exercise, and provide a basis for the development of standardized Tai Chi exercise guidelines, provide personalized Tai Chi exercise, and comprehensively promote Tai Chi as a clinical rehabilitation treatmentMethods:This study selected a female Chen Tai Chi practitioner and collected basic information and body inertia parameters(age, weight, height, length of legs, length of thigh, length of leg, length of trunk, length of upper arm, length of forearm, length of hand,etc.).These data were entered into the F-Scan plantar pressure analysis system and the Xsens MVN full body inertial motion capture system to establish a motion acquisition model. After correcting the motion model, the plantar pressure data and the Tai Chi movements were collected during the exercise. The musculoskeletal model of the subject was established in the Anybody Modeling System, and the virtual person was driven by the marker point driving method, and the plantar pressure data synchronized with the movement was input.Decomposes the whole set of Tai Chi movements into 20 moving elements and decomposes them in 5 frames per second.Calculate and analyze the dynamic parameters of the spine and surrounding muscles in Tai Chi exercise using computer simulation and inverse dynamics program. The parameters studied included:Muscle Activity around the spine,Joint Moments,Joint Reforce, and Joint Angle. Results:The kinetic parameters of the spine and surrounding muscles were calculated by the inverse kinetics program. The results showed that the activation of muscle around the spine during the course of Tai Chi exercise showed a fluctuating trend in different motile units, and the activation of muscles in no.1,no.6,no.10,no.12,no.15,no.17,no.19 and no.22 movement increased significantly.Among them, the muscle activity level curve of the Tai Chi moves corresponding to the action 10 has the most significant increase in the "right foot kick" movement. In the whole set of Tai Chi exercise, the erector spinae, the semi-spinal muscles, the thoracic multifidus muscles, the transversus abdominis muscles and other forces increased, while the psoas muscles and spine muscles were weakened and erected overall. The change tendency of the joint torque in the three directions of the spine in the Tai Chi movement remained basically the same, and there was no significant difference between the different joints. At the same time, the front and rear bending moments of the spine and the left and right bending moments increase significantly, and the maximum increase can be about 36 times. The left and right rotation moments are relatively stable with a low growth rate.In terms of joint stress, the stress in the left and right direction of the spinal joint during Tai Chi exercise is almost zero;the stress in the fore-and-aft direction of the joint tends to fluctuate, reaching the only peak in action 10;the stress in the up-down direction of the joint changes significantly, different sections Segment joints reach their respective peaks in multiple factors. The stress peaks of all the joints in action 10 were the highest peaks, indicating that the Tai Chi movement 'right foot kick' corresponding to this action had the greatest load on the spine joints. In terms of joint angle, there is no obvious change in the angle of spinal joints in Tai Chi exercise.Conclusion:1.Tai Chi exercise can enhance the muscle strength of the erector spinae,semi-spinalis muscle, thoracic multifidus muscle, transversus muscle, etc.to enhance the balance control of the practitioner and enhance the stability of the spine; The muscle around the middle spine mainly exerts a mechanical effect on completing the anterior and posterior movements and maintaining the pre-and post-equilibrium.The changes in joint stress can reflect the role of Tai Chi exercise in stretching the spine and exercising the attachment ligament of the spine;3.The "right rubbing foot" in Chen's Tai Chi exercise. The single-legged movements such as "Golden Rooster Independence"and "Overcasting" are the main actions of Tai Chi exercise in the skeletal and muscular system of the spine.The&"right-footed" movement has a high requirement on muscle strength, heavy load on the joints, and a certain potential risk of damage when it is not done in a regular or excessive manner.Based on the above data,it can be concluded that Tai Chi exercise has the characteristics of small movement amplitude, low muscle strength, and light spine load while being able to exercise the skeletal and muscular system of the spine, and is suitable for promotion as a rehabilitation and health care campaign among patients with chronic orthopedic diseases or elderly people.
