With the rapid development of the information age, modern information technology has been widely used in various fields of society, which is profoundly affecting and changing people's life and learning styles. As the main component of information technology education in primary school, information technology course plays a vital role in cultivating students ' ability to use information technologies. However, there are some problems in current information technology course. For example, the enthusiasm of students in information technology training is not high and as a result, the classroom teaching effect is not good.In order to improve involvement during information technology learning and strengthen classroom learning effect, innovative teaching modes are needed. As a new teaching model, project learning has been gradually applied in basic education since it was introduced into China.Based on this, the author puts forward that learning can be applied to information technology course and innovate its teaching mode.In this study, based on the analysis of the current situation of project study and primary school information technology training, the new teaching model-project learning was introduced into information technology course to improve the learning effect of students.By using literature research, questionnaire, action research and interview methods, the application procedure of project learning in the sixth grade information technology class was designed.Based on project learning instructional evaluation,we can include that the implementation of project learning have positive influence on training students' comprehensive application skills and group interaction, which should attribute to their enhanced interest and enthusiasm in learning. But at the same time, high classroom control ability of teachers is necessary for the effective application of project learning. The full text is divided into seven chapters: the first chapter mainly introduces the background, objectives and significance of this research topic. The second chapter explains the concepts and theoretical research related to project learning and summarizes the current research status of project learning.Based on these above, the research procedure is designed in the third chapter. At the same time, the goals, contents, ideas, methods, implementation environment and objects of this research are included. The fourth chapter is one of the core contents of this paper. In this chapter, the information technology teaching status of the primary school was evaluated according to the research procedure design. Moreover, the feasibility analysis and the main problems of the application of project learning in primary school information technology teaching were summed up.The fifth chapter is the core of this study.Following the research design, the implementation process of project study in the primary sixth grade information technology course was determined based on the project learning theory.By analysis of the teaching goal, the teaching content and the students, several groups of project theme were elaborated for students. Then the teaching process and evaluation system were designed according to the study activities. Also, the main problems in the implementation of project learning were summarized by analyzing specific teaching practice cases. In the sixth chapter, the relevant comparison between before and after the project teaching application,as well as the analysis of the teaching effect after the implementation of the project learning were included. The seventh chapter is the research conclusion of this chapter and the drawbacks of this study.
