Today's society requires us to keep pace with the times and learn for life, and autonomous learning ability is bound to become a necessary ability for each of us.The cultivation of students' autonomous learning ability is not only the main direction of current educational reform, but also the main melody of world education.Information technology,as the teaching subject most closely related to The Times,is bound to be at the forefront of the reform. So,information technology curriculum should respond positively to the call of quality education and carry out the requirement of cultivating students' autonomous learning ability. However, the traditional model of information technology education is the inherent "It's just that the teacher is demonstrating the operation and the students are imitating it." form. This severely restricts the students' personality development and potential development. This leads to the low interest of students in information technology learning, the single learning method, and the learning effect can not be improved.Over time, taking information lessons has become a "scene",and the advantages of information technology have gradually been buried. Therefore,it is imperative to explore new teaching methods in information technology courses to cultivate students' autonomous learning ability.Under the guidance of constructivist learning theory, humanistic learning theory, disc overy learning theory, and metacognitive theory, combining the nature of primary school information technology curriculum, requirements of quality-oriented education, characteristic s of students and characteristics of project-based learning, this study designed the organiz ation and implementation plan of project-based learning in primary school information tec hnology, and applied the design to the actual primary school information technology class room teaching. The aim is to cultivate pupils' ability of autonomous learning, improve thequality of information technology classroom teaching, and better implement the requirem ents of quality-oriented education and new curriculum reform. This study mainly used research methods such as literature research method, education experiment method and questionnaire survey method.Firstly, through the review of domestic and foreign literatures, this paper defines the concept of autonomous learning ability and project-based learning, further clarifies the components of autonomous learning ability, and analyzes the requirements of the cultivation of autonomous learning ability for project-based learning.Secondly, based on the characteristics and requirements of various aspects, the organization and implementation plan of the project-based learning of information technology in primary schools was designed.Thirdly, the single-factor non-peer group was used to verify the effectiveness of the project-based learning scheme in improving pupils' autonomous learning ability. In this study, two classes with the same level of grade 5 in a primary school in jinan, shandong province were selected as the experimental class and the control class. The above design was used to carry out teaching in the experimental class, and the traditional task-driven teaching was used in the control class. Before and after carrying out the teaching experiment, the autonomous learning ability of students was measured, and the daily observation of students was paid attention to in the teaching process. Finally, the experimental data are statistically analyzed and compared, and the observation results are analyzed to verify whether the designed project-based learning is effective for the cultivation of pupils' autonomous learning ability. The experimental results show that the project-based learning designed in this study can effectively cultivate primary school students' autonomous learning ability, improve students' information technology learning performance and the quality of information technology classroom teaching.
