Rural basic education can help increase farmers' income,improve the level of agricultural modernization,promote urbanization,precision poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategy by promoting scientific and technological progress and improve the quality of workers.The improvement of rural education level is directly related to the overall situation of the development of agriculture,rural areas and farmers in Henan.In the process of promoting the development of rural basic education,the government,academic circles and educators have carried out a lot of research and beneficial exploration.This paper will combine with the relevant data of Henan Province Education Statistics Yearbook 2011-2015.This paper combs the new changing trend of rural basic education,and puts forward some suggestions on how to further develop rural basic education in the new period according to the characteristics and existing problems of the current rural basic education.As a highly general concept,basic education itself includes a lot of content.This paper is based on the three elements of education,such as learners,educators and educational measures,to analyze rural basic education in a general way.Based on the data of Henan Province,In this paper,the current situation of rural basic education on the following three aspects: 1)From the perspective of learners,the number of students in rural basic education is shrinking,and the size of students in a single school is decreasing;The number of large classes decreases while the number of small classes increases.The rural basic education shows that the students' urbanization is ahead of the population's urbanization but the advance trend shows signs of slowing down.The children of migrant workers have become an important force for rural students to enter the city.The boarding rate of basic education students in rural areas is increasing rapidly.Children left behind experienced a trend of first increasing and then descending.2)From the point of view of educators,the size of teachers is shrinking.The number of teachers in single schools and the ratio of students to teachers is decreasing.Teachers' urbanization is ahead of population urbanization but the trend of teachers' urbanization shows signs of slowing down.The teacher structure presents a high proportion of female teachers,a large age structure and a fault phenomenon,a low level of academic qualifications,structural deficiencies.3)From the perspective of educational measures,the development scale and share of rural basic education schools are shrinking as a whole.The main body of the school is mainly run by the public and run by the people.The average building area of basic education in rural areas has increased greatly.The construction of school information has been developed rapidly.The situation of book retention is growing rapidly but still does not reach the prescribed standard.Funding for education has increased rapidly but is still insufficient.The main problems of rural basic education are the decrease of the number of students and the deterioration of the structure,which leads to the continuing decline of rural basic education.The unreasonable establishment and structure of teachers lead to a lack of stamina in the development of rural basic education.The idleness of teaching facilities and insufficient funds lead to the inefficient utilization of educational resources.Therefore,the author puts forward the following suggestions.Establishing the education mechanism and optimizing the integration education of students in cities.Different regulatory bodies coordinate to promote the healthy growth of left-behind children.Speed up the construction of rural boarding schools to protect the rights and interests of boarding students.Many measures should be taken simultaneously to solve the problem of teachers' establishment and mobility.Improving the structure of rural teachers to construct echelons of rural talents.Continue to reduce the number of large classes and watch out for small class overcapacity.Promoting efficient and rational utilization of rural teaching resources.Guaranteeing the input of rural school funds.
