Under the background of the new curriculum reform,the division teaching in the junior middle school can not meet the needs of the society for new talents.And in physics teaching,the single teaching objectives and curriculum design are difficult to improve students' innovative thinking and innovative ability comprehensively.Therefore,how to implement curriculum integration effectively is a realistic problem that we must face.STEAM education is a kind of interdisciplinary education that based on science,technology,engineering,art and mathematics,which can break the discipline barriers,improve the students' ability to discover problems and solve practical problems in practice training.This paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction part,the author mainly introduced the research background,research significance,the concept about STEAM education definition,literature review and research methods.The second part is the overview of STEAM education,the origin of STEAM education,educational connotation,theoretical basis,teaching methods and teaching evaluation.The third part introduces two cases of physics teaching designed under the guidance of STEAM educational philosophy.The fourth part mainly analyzes the questionnaires and interviews conducted by students,parents and teachers according to the implementation effect of two physics teaching cases.It is concluded that the students and parents love this new form of teaching,which helps to stimulate students' interest in learning,training students' practical ability,cultivating students' cooperation ability and innovation ability,and helps to cultivate new talents.The fifth part is to summarize the achievements of the course,the problems encountered and the prospect of the future integration of disciplines.STEAM education can promote the integration of disciplines,so that students can understand and master the subject knowledge more deeply,and improve students'creative ability and innovation ability.Under the guidance of STEAM educational philosophy,this paper will integrate the STEAM with physics teaching,and analyze the value of integrating STEAM education into subject teaching by taking two physics teaching cases as examples.
