With the rapid development of computer technology and internet technology, new media based on these two technologies are also rapidly developing. In this state of interconnected world, the means of information search and acquisition are constantly changing. The channel for information acquisition has changed from the traditional media marked by books, magazines, newspapers, radio, television, etc.to new media such as mobile APP,digital TV,blogs, and microblogs. With the continuous development of society and economy, many diseases nowadays have the characteristics of"rejuvenation".More and more young people are starting to pay attention to their own health conditions and are eager to learn about their health-related health care information from external sources. For college students, they are in a period of rapid physical and psychological transition. Not only do they need a large amount of health information, but also they are the fastest masters of emerging technologies. Therefore, obtaining information through new media is an important way for college students to obtain health information. Objective:To explore the influencing factors of undergraduates’ health information acquisition behavior under the new media environment,we constructed a model of influencing factors,so as to provide reasonable theoretical support for improving college students’ health literacy.Method/process:Combining social cognitive theory with comprehensive information search model, demographic factors,health-related factors, environmental factors, and information carrier factors are taken as the four influencing factors that affect college students’ health information acquisition behavior.According to the model,a model was constructed and interview syllabus was designed.Using semi-structured interviews,we collected 30 college students’ feedback on health information in a new media environment, and formed a 150,000-word original script.Subject information analysis was used to extract information which affected university students’ information acquisition. There are 12 inclusion factors and 3 attribution factors for behavior. Results:The model of influencing health information acquisition behavior was revised, and the original interview records were used to corroborate how each factor influences information acquisition behavior.Suggestions were made based on the influencing factors from the perspective of new media and colleges. The details are as follows:(1)After explaining the related theory of information acquisition behavior,we introduced the concept, characteristics of new media, and differences between the network environment and traditional environment. We focused on the health information of the microblog platform, and explained why we put the health information acquisition behavior under the new media environment.(2)The acquisition behavior of college students’ health information is affected by the user’s own situation. So this paper took the social cognitive theory and the integrated information search model as the research basis and integrated it.And then,we proposed the model of the influencing factors of health information acquisition behavior, and designed an interview question based on this model.(3)The interviewees, interview sites, and interview outlines were determined.Interview data were collected and organized. On the basis of the original data of the interviews with university students,12 included factors and 3 return factors were summarized.(4)After modifying the health information acquisition behavior influencing factor model,a detailed explanation was shown. We analyzed the model results and drew conclusions.(5)Summarizing the work of the entire paper and reflecting on the follow-up workof the article,we look forward to further work in the future in order to improve the health status of college students.
