Adolescents' intelligence development is an important basis for assessing the health status of adolescents, formulating education plans, and implementing step-by-step teaching. However, there is still a lack of case on the intellectual development and factors of adolescents in rural areas. This study used the "Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices"to conduct a follow-up survey of seventh-grade students in rural junior middle schools in Tianmen through a sampling method for nearly a year to test their total test scores(intellectual development level)and A(perceptual discrimination ability),B(analogical reasoning ability),C(comparative reasoning ability),D(series relationship ability),E(abstract reasoning ability)can reflect the level of intellectual development and student grade, gender, age, academic performance, the relationship between parents' level of education and other factors can be used to understand the characteristics of intellectual development and related influencing factors of rural junior middle school students, and to provide reference for the formulation of teaching plans, gender non-differentiated treatment and intellectual development strategies. The results show that:1)There are significant differences between the total scores of Raven's standard progressive matrices and the scores of each item in the grades, which indicates that the students' grades of intelligence development are significantly higher as grades increase;2)The total scores of Raven's standard progressive matrices and each one are no significant gender difference in project scores, indicating that there is no gender difference in intellectual development;3)There is a significant correlation between Raven's standard progressive matrices total score and A(perceptual discrimination ability),C(comparison reasoning ability)and D(series relationship ability)project scores with students' age, indicating that the higher the age,the higher the level of intellectual development, which is mainly due to A(reflecting the ability to discern perception),C(comparative reasoning ability)and D(series relationship ability)project scores;4)students' intellectual development can predict the student's academic performance level;5)There is no significant correlation between Parental education with students' Raven standard progressive matrices scores and A(perceptual discrimination ability),B(analogical reasoning ability),C(comparative reasoning ability),D(series relationship ability),E(abstract reasoning ability)scores, indicating that students' intelligence development is not affected by the level of parental education. These results show that the level of intellectual development of rural junior middle school students is mainly affected by age, grade, and academic level of students, and there is no significant correlation with parental education level and student gender.According to the grade characteristics and gender characteristics of students' intellectual development,we can formulate education plans and rejecte t sex discrimination. There are conducive to the healthy development of students, enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and improving the teaching status of earlier education;According to the factors affecting the students' intellectual development, there are improvements will be made to promote the development of better student intelligence.
