Adolescent students are in the intensive phase of gender awareness.To a great extent,their comprehensive and scientific recognition to female images stems from social culture they accepted in this period.The writer had a research on female images in textbooks then found that there are quite a few questions appearing in Chinese textbooks,including sexualgender discrimination,simplifying and ignoring female' s social status and activities,emphasizing the difference between male and female as well as twisting female images.Even worse,there is something to do with twisting female images.Nowadays,with the progress of new curriculum reform,textbooks' edition is changed,selection is richer and teachers change their teaching ideas and approaches.Do they play an important role in teaching female images for teachers and forming comprehensive and scientific recognition to female images for middle school students?Regarding it as breakthrough point,this research focuses on female images in two textbook editions,which were published by YUWEN Press and RENJIAO Press,and emphasizes the importance of students' comprehensive and scientific recognition to female images that comes from teaching in the textbook.At the same time,the writer hopes people can pay attention to female images in the textbook that are ignored easily through analyzing female images in the textbook.Contents will be divided into five chapters.The first chapter includes introduction.It begins with reasons of selecting the topic and introduces research status of home and abroad and significance.The second chapter includes analyzing of female images in the junior high school textbook.It explains summary and characteristics of female images in the textbook.After making quantity statistic of female images in the textbook,the writer will explore their shown features.In the third chapter,writer explores educational importance of female images in the textbook,and do some research by starting with educational value and educational enlightenment of middle school students.The fourth chapter is about current teaching situation of studying female images.Questionnaires for students as well as interview for teachers are used to reflect the practical situation of educational importance in order to analyze deeply reasons of problems that exist in female images in the new version textbooks and teaching.In the last chapter,writer summarizes her experience and reflection on female teaching in Chinese class in the past few years.On this basis,writer will give some advice on letting many richer female images come into the textbook,making students' concept on gender be close to teachers and develop school-based curriculum.
