With the development of lifelong education and the "Full Education",after-school tutoring as a formal complementary investment outside of school,aiming at improving students' performance and cultivating their interests,has already become a large-scale educational economic activity in China.The main form of after-school tutoring is to participate in all kinds of remedial classes,not including hiring tutors and participating in custodian classes.Compared with the formal education,after-school tutoring flourishes and develops like shadow,and has a certain impact on the school education,economy and society.Therefore,it is of theoretical significance and practical value to study the extracurricular tutoring course.Based on the method of literature analysis,questionnaire and interview,the study has a preliminary understanding of the current situation of extracurricular tutorials and the framework of value orientation,which laid the foundation for the theory and research.This paper,using the methods of recycling questionnaire investigation and interview to sampling survey the teachers,students and parents in two Wuhan primary schools,researches and analyzes the current situation of students'participation in extracurricular classes through the class' scale,content,time,spending and the evaluation of curriculum value orientation.At the same time,The author has interviewed some extracurricular tutors of large-scale tutoring institutions,and has a deep understanding of the after-school tutoring.Through the study,the author found that the participation of primary school students in Wuhan city was universal,and the number of primary school students in the primary school was 94.1 percent,while the number of primary school students in the suburbs was 43 percent.This data reflects that there is a great demand for primary school students to attend after-school classes.So,the research on the after-school tutoring course also has the research foundation.The results show that curricular and extracurricular tutoring together cause students' burdensome in study;exam is the main target of extracurricular tutoring;uneven distribution of educational resources exist in urban and suburban areas.According to the survey results,this paper USES education equity theory to analyze the causes of these phenomena.First,parents should change their opinion that education only for the exam's sake and pay more attention to children' mental and physical development;second,school should strictly control the number of students in one class;third,extracurricular guidance agencies should identify their situation as a complementary education;and last,the society should play a supervisory role to guarantee the equal educational opportunities.Finally,this paper draws following conclusions based on the empirical analysis results:the school should strictly control the class size;Reasonable decrease of the test tendency of after-school tutoring;To balance urban and suburban students' opportunities for after-school tutoring.
