For a country,education is the foundation of a country and a nation of prosperity;for a family,children’s education carries parents’ hope and family happiness.Parents hope to provide the best education for their children’s growth,and the education services invested in their children have gradually become an important part of family consumption.In the case that school education can not meet the diversified and high-quality growth of students,the extracurricular tutoring,which is originally a supplementary form of school education,has become a social trend and has become increasingly fierce.To a certain extent,after-school tutoring can meet the needs of students for interest and specialty and improve their performance,but at the same time,it will also cause students too heavy learning burden,rely on after-school tutoring and aggravate education equity and other adverse effects,hinder the fair access to educational resources and affect the formation of good learning habits.Therefore,the question of this paper is whether the extracurricular tutoring promotes the growth of children or suppresses the growth of children? Is it to meet the parents’ wishes or the children’s wishes to participate in extracurricular tutoring? In view of this problem,the paper will carry out practical research,find out the current situation,and put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions on this premise.In order to further understand the situation of primary school students’ participation in extracurricular tutoring,the author takes the students,parents and teachers of three primary schools in X District of Yantai City as the survey objects,conducts the research through self-made questionnaires and interviews,and uses SPSS Data statistics method is used to analyze the survey results,through the perspective of parents’ participation,to understand the current problems of primary school students in the process of participating in extracurricular tutoring and analyze the reasons for participating in extracurricular tutoring,and put forward suggestions for improvement to parents,teachers in schools and the government,so as to improve the quality of school education,and at the same time to reasonably position extracurricular tutoring,so as to make parents more rational They choose to study outside school.Through the investigation,there are many problems in the process of primary school students’ participation in extracurricular tutoring,such as obvious exam orientation,passive participation,heavy academic burden and excessive dependence on extracurricular tutoring,which to a great extent stifle students’ autonomy and creativity in learning.The main reasons are parents’ improper education concept,obvious school score orientation,lack of self-discipline and lack of self-discipline There are four aspects: the government’s weak supervision and the internal market mechanism.To this end,the paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions: first,help parents establish a correct concept of education,respect children’s wishes,advocate rational tutoring,and promote students’ learning initiative;Second,improve teachers’ professional quality and the quality of school education;Third,the government should do a good job of guidance,strengthen the supervision of extracurricular tutoring,and promote educational equity.In the end,the parents of decision-makers should make appropriate remedial study on the premise of respecting students’ wishes,reduce students’ academic burden,enhance the teaching quality of school basic courses,reduce students’ subject remedial study,and strengthen the government’s normative guidance on extracurricular remedial study,so as to give full play to the function of extracurricular remedial study in the field of cultivating students’ interests and specialties,so that both sides can fulfill their respective responsibilities,Make education return to its original intention.
