STEM education was first started in the United States,and has aroused strong repercussions in various countries and regions.As an effective form of interdisciplinary comprehensive education,the importance of STEM education has been widely recognized by all countries in the world.From the national level,the new curriculum standard is redefined in the standard of compulsory primary school science curriculum issued by the Ministry of education in 2017 by the Ministry of education in China,and the interdisciplinary learning method is advocated.A clear definition of the Chinese version of STEM is made and it is explained as follows:Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics.It integrates science,technology,engineering and mathematics into an organic whole,and is conducive to the cultivation of students'creative ability.In order to explore the effective methods of science teaching in primary school,improve the actual effect of science teaching,improve the students' practical ability and innovation ability and cultivate the students' scientific literacy,this article will take a positive inquiry into the current situation of the teaching of science curriculum in our country under the background of STEM education,and provide a view for the effective integration of STEM education into the teaching course in our country.The thesis is mainly carried out from the following parts:The first part clarified the research background and present situation of this paper.The second part was the theoretical overview of STEM education,including the concept of STEM education,analysis of the relationship between STEM education and related subjects(including science,technology,engineering and Mathematics),especially the analysis of the combination of STEM education and primary school science.The third part included the characteristics of primary school science curriculum and the investigation and analysis of pupils' science learning status.The fourth part stated the implementation strategies and case studies of primary school science curriculum under the background of STEM.The fifth part:Conclusion.It summarized the previous contents and pointed out the shortcomings of the research.
