| Higher education expansion make the college graduates facing the employment environment is becoming more and more serious,have received higher education labor supply exceeded the expectation of the Labour market,which changes the college graduates employment mechanism,leading to more and more highly educated workforce can only engage in some low degrees can complete the work,and even some high school graduates can not find suitable jobs,this invalid supply of higher education is a reflection of excessive education.previous research has pointed out that the excessive education appeared in the segmentation of labor market is the result of the economic development and will be a long-term phenomenon,degree of society fierce competition for receiving further education is the public’s active choice,as a result of actual labor by the education level is higher than its needed.Through literature review,it was found that existing studies completely attributed the cause of excessive education to the market or education party,ignoring the comprehensive effect of other factors.There is an interesting phenomenon in the phenomenon of excessive education.Excessive education is more likely to occur in children whose parents have high education level.This paper will focus on this point to explore whether it is an accident or a common phenomenon that children of parents with high education level are more likely to have excessive education.In this paper,using the data from 2008 Chinese general social survey CGSS database,build order probit model,investigation by the education level of parents,their children’s education level and the relations between and among education,and explores its action mechanism.The results showed that parents’ education level had a significant positive correlation with their children’s excessive education level,and the children’s education level played an intermediary role.The higher the education level of parents,their children for the greater the tendency of education investment,at the same time,they are more likely to capture the information of the labor market,the degree of market competition has a more sensitive response.Therefore,when making investment in education,such families tend to neglect the matching degree between education and posts,so that their children are in the position of excessive education.In this aspect,it is necessary to appeal to the large number of families with high knowledge to avoid blind education decision making and rationally view the posts with high diploma threshold.On the other hand reflects the deformity of the diploma in the labor market competition,the Labour market to the signal of the launch of the highly educated means good social position is wrong,the government should strengthen supervision and play a guiding role on campus recruitment,targeted set of highly educated threshold cancel sector jobs,and to the society is the actual labor technical level is more important than a degree.Education is a precious resource.The phenomenon of excessive education is an undeniable waste of social resources.Excessive education has complicated causes and realistic background,and it is difficult to be eliminated directly by one policy in the short term.To find out the family causes of excessive education,can alleviate its occurrence to a certain extent,and lay the foundation for a truly fair and universal education in the future. |
