A Study On Influence Of Parents' Education Level And Occupational Status On Children's Participation Of Sports

Home is the first place of socialization for individuals as well as a cultural environment and living place that influences children. In the family of socialized institutions, everyone is in progress through learning behavior norms, values and social culture. So is the sport socialization of people. That is to say, it is obvious that the family have influences on people's sport socialized process. As the socialization executors, the educational level and professional status of parents are the two most important objective indicators of influencing the cultural environment of family. Then what do the educational level and occupational status of parents have an impact on the behavior of children in a socialized process of their participation in sport,how are the effect rulers? This thesis attempts to use the basic principles and methods of sociology and pedagogy to explore the influences of the educational level and occupational status of parents on children's behavior of participation in sports from the perspective of family. The sports values of parents and their attitudes about their children's participation in sports are regarded as a mediator to analyze the relevant relation between the education level, occupational status of parents and the intermediary variables, and influential rules of educational level and occupational status of parents on children's sports behavior. By understanding parents'sports education concept and attitudes, it can provide some valuable theoretical reference for analysis the sliding constitution of the youngster and children and the shortage of athletic sports reserve. To attach importance to parents'effect for the youngster and children's participation in sports in the school sports, athletic sports and popular fitness areas. It can create a good family cultural setting for children. It can make youngster and children come into being right physical values ,active sports habit, and create a lifelong sports sense, thus enhance the youngster and children's physical and mental health level.Adopting the methods of literature research, questionnaire, interviewing and mathematical statistics and group sampling, taking the children aging 6 to 8 as object, the thesis surveyed parents of six primary schools in Shaoyang City. The author analyzes the copies using software SPSS11.50. The general descriptive statistics, One-Way ANOVA description statistics and chi-square test are made according to the data collected. It manifests:1. There is no significant difference in body-building values indifferent education level of parents. But there is marked difference at education , entertainment, spirit and interpersonal. By LSD manifests, the low cultural row's scores are less than other rows'.2. Different cultural level of parents have significant difference at the cognize, emotion and action of parents'attitude for children's behavior of participation of sports. By LSD manifests, the low cultural row's scores are less than other rows'.3. The education level of parents is related to their children's behavior of participation of sports. That is, the education level of parents is related to the children's physical exercises items. The children of different cultural level of parents have significant difference in the physical exercise form. The children of different cultural level of parents have significant difference in the physical exercise place. The education level of parents is related to the children's sports consumption kinds. The education level of parents has positive relation to the children's sports consumption level. But there is no statistical significance between the different education level of parents'children's number of sports exercises.4. There is no significant difference in body-building values indifferent occupational status of parents. But there is marked difference at education , entertainment, spirit and interpersonal. By LSD manifests, the low occupational status'scores are less than the others'.5. Different occupational status of parents have significant difference at the cognize, emotion and action of parents'attitude for children's behavior of participation of sports. By LSD manifests, the lowest class'scores are less than the leading class, upper intermediate and middle class.6. The occupational status of parents is related to their children's behavior of participation of sports. That is, the occupational status of parents is related to the children's physical exercises items. The children of different occupational status of parents have significant difference in the physical exercise form. The children of different occupational status of parents have significant difference in the physical exercise place. The occupational status of parents is related to the children's sports consumption kinds. The occupational status of parents has positive relation to the children's sports consumption level. But there is no statistical significance between the different education level of parents'children's number of sports exercises.
