Study On The Leadership Traits Of President Zhang Chuting

University presidents have a significant role in the reform and development of the university."Double-First Class construction" is inseparable from the outstanding leadership of the university president.There are many factors that affect the promotion of university presidents' leadership.The leadership traits of university presidents are the basic factors.The research on the special traits of university presidents' leadership will help deepen the understanding of university leadership and improve the leadership of university principals.President Zhang Chuting took charge of Hunan Normal University for 18 years.He has served as party secretary and principal and led Hunan Normal University to develop from a place of unknown teacher colleges into a "211 college".The successful transformation of Hunan Normal University is inseparable from the effective leadership of President Zhang.The effective leadership of President Zhang is inseparable from his personal leadership traits.The study of his leadership traits is of great significance.This article uses the interview method,grounded theory,historical research and other methods to study the following questions:What leadership traits does Zhang Chuting have?How are these leadership traits formed?What kind of influence did his leadership traits have on the development of Hunan Normal University?The research mainly obtains research data by interviewing President Zhang and his colleagues,historical materials of historical development of Hunan Normal University,and the collection of Zhang Chuting's own work.Based on the existing research data,based on the screening principles,the principal events of Zhang's management process are discussed.Screening was conducted,and through the rooted theoretical layer coding analysis,the principal traits of President Zhang were refined,and then Zhang's leadership traits and its influence on school management were further analyzed.This study draws the following conclusion:The leadership traits of President Zhang Chuting are composed of the traits of rooted leadership,driving leadership,and situational leadership.The rooted leadership traits exist in the subconscious of Zhang's headmaster.The formation time is relatively early.The expression of the principal's own values;the traits of driving leadership-is the behavioral characteristics of President Zhang Chuting;the situational leadership traits are expressed in the face of a certain situation,whether it will appear in all the specific situations according to leadership traits and situational leadership.The traits are divided into non-selective situational leadership traits and selective situational leadership traits.On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of President Zhang's leadership,this paper further discusses the causes of the leadership traits of President Zhang Chuting and the influence of leadership traits on Hunan Normal University.In the end,the author thinks that the leadership qualities of the university presidents are the basis of the university presidents' leadership and the leadership of university presidents should be promoted.The qualities of university presidents should not be ignored.
