Objective:This study uses the test methods of sports biomechanics to explores theprotective effect of the foam roller relaxation to iliotibial band syndrome and enhancement to lower extremity muscle strength.Methods:Forty-four people was selected as subjects relax the running group(n=22;Age19.7±0.7years;height177.9±5.0cm;68.4±13.3kgweight),norelaxation running group(n=18;Age19.8±0.79years;height 177.7±5.3cm;67.4kg weight).Sliding on bubble group of subjects at the end of each run using foam roller rolling for lower limb muscles relax scroll, and then the study uses isokinetic knee muscle strength tester to test the knee joint muscle strength index in three angular velocity,60°/s,180°/s and 240°/s before and after foam roller rolling running within four weeks. The index of the vertical jump is come from the KISTLER test bench indicator the experimenter carried out HOOPER questionnaire and RPE questionnaire for both groups daily. Results:Results show that the regular running time bubble near shaft rolling group subjects without the iliotibial band syndrome,no relaxation running group experienced the iliotibial band syndrome, occurrence probability at a rate of 15.7%.The HOOPER questionnaire of the bubble axis rolling relaxation group and the no-relaxation running group began to show differences in the group on the 12th day, indicating that the adaptive period of the body was 12 days.On the sixth day,the questionnaire of RPE in the bubble axis began to appear in the group, and the RPE questionnaire of the non-relaxed running group began to show differences in the group on the seventh day. After running in the law of the four-week sliding on the bubble group compared with no relaxation between running way under 60~o/s angular velocity peak torque of the flexor unit weight, extensor peak torque,240~o/s extensor peak torque of the unit weight more obvious promotion effect is no relaxation running group. The foam-axis rolling relaxation group increased significantly at three angular velocities before and after the peak value of the unit weight torque, the peak value of the torque, the acceleration time, and the work/weight group. The duration of the two groups of participants increased significantly compared with that before the experiment.Conclusions:(1)Foam roller rolling relaxation can be one of the effective measures to prevent iliotibial band syndrome caused by running.(2)Running activities can increase the muscle strength of the knee joint, especially with the help of foam roller rolling relaxation.
