As pointed out by the report of 19 th CPC National Congress,“aspiring youths build up an aspiring country,while strong youths build up a strong country”.The young college students are a generation progressing with the new era.Up to now,China has entered the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics when national opening-up turns deeper and international exchange turns more intimate.Contemporary college students are faced with a complex and changeable epoch context and greatly challenging historical background.Under such circumstances,to improve young college students' ideological and political quality,consolidate and reinforce contemporary college students' identity with domestic mainstream ideology will be of great importance in ensuring national stability and social harmony,securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects,and realizing the great Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.This thesis mainly adopt literature research method,system analysis method and other methods,take Marxist ideological education view and Marxist youth view as the guiding principle and reinforcing contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity as the mainline,and start from the perspective of the influence of epoch context characterized by globalization,economic marketization,information networking and higher education popularization on contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity to conduct an integrative research on the topic of “the study on contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity under the epoch context”.With focus on the exploration of the methods and paths for reinforcing contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity,this research provides some principles and actualization paths with certain referential meaning for improving contemporary college students' ideological and political level and propelling colleges and universities to implement the basic task of strengthening moral education and cultivating talents.First of all,the thesis expounds the epoch context confronted by contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity,considering that college students primarily confront the epoch context characterized by the game of different ideologies and cultures under globalization conditions,the surge of pluralistic social thoughts under market economy environment,the variation of ideology identity path under Internet background,and the changes of college internal environment under the background of higher education popularization.Secondly,it objectively analyzes and sorts out the problems and causes of contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity in epoch context,concluding that some college students encounter the difficulty of representational identity,conceptual identity,utilitarian identity and self-ego identity in mainstream ideology identity process.Finally,for improving the validity of college students' mainstream ideology identity,ideological and political educators should stick to certain principles – namely to combine scientific education with life education,to combine dominant education with recessive education,to combine realistic education with online education,to combine theoretical education with practical education and to combine general education with intensive education.As for the actualization path,it is necessary to consolidate the guiding role of Marxism in college ideology,exert the educative instruction function of new network media,optimize contemporary college students' mainstream ideology identity environment and expand college students' mainstream ideology identity practice platforms.
