This thesis selected the book Chinese Listening Course,Book One,which written by Yang Xuemei and Hu Bo in 1999 as the listening materials,and randomly chose 82 students who are mayor in Chinese at Satri Nakhon Sawan school,grade two and three as the study objects.The paper will find out the difficulties that existed in listening study,analyze the reasons and meanwhile put forward some countermeasures to overcome the difficulties.Via the methods of literature research,examination,observation and interview,this paper will investigate in three parts,which are phonetics,sentences and conversations,and passages.In the part of phonetics,consonants,vowels and tones will be analyzed.In the part of sentences and conversation,I will analyze according to the types of questions which can be divided into mathematics,meaning comprehension,differences among countries,places and other types of questions.In the part of passages,I will analyze from three aspects,i.e.,vocabulary,grammar and semantic.This paper also analyzed the reasons why makes it difficult in Chinese listening for students at Satri Nakhon Sawan schoo in the aspects of both students themselves and teachers.The result showed that students were influenced by the negative transfer result of their mother tongue and other second languages during phonetics' learning.Besides mother tongue or their first language,culture is also one of the factors that causes their misunderstanding while listening to materials.Thailand's culture is mostly affected by some foreign cultures which are really different from Chinese.The other factor is the study habit.Those students are outgoing and humble yet lack of patience,and they don't have much interest in learning Chinese.From the aspect of teachers,they should improve the teaching mode of the listening course.They cannot practice listening just for letting students choose out the right answer.What they should really do it to cultivate students' listening skills.As for the assignment,teachers should try to arouse students interests in their homework.Furthermore,teachers should enhance the combination with speaking,reading and writing.Since the reasons have been found out,I attempted to make some countermeasures and suggestions for the listening course,including the teaching suggestions aimed at solving students' problems in phonetics.While teaching,teachers can start a new teaching point based on students' original knowledge,and correct the mispronunciations students make properly.To trigger students' interests,teachers can try to apply multiple methods to attract students' attention.Only when finding out suitable ways for students at Satri Nakhon Sawan School,can we truly stimulate their motivations.These mentioned measures are based on the combination with other skills and the teaching plans under schema theory.
