The Analects of Confucius,which is one of the traditional Chinese culture books,is the most reliable historical material for studying Confucianism.In the short but philosophical languages of The Analects,Confucius embodied his profound thoughts and ideas,which had a tremendous influence on the political,ideological,cultural,educational and artistic aspects of his future generations.As for the great role of The Analects and its deep influence,and based on the actuality of the current new curriculum reform and school-based curriculum development,the school-based curriculum of The Analects with a rich cultural background and students needs of classic reading has been developed.This paper consists of three parts: the introduction,the main body(a total of three chapters)and the conclusion.Part one is a general introduction consisting of the background of the research on school-based curriculum of The Analects of Confucius,discussion of the basic concepts involved,a general summary of the relevant research,the thinking and significance of this research.The first chapter of the main body,conducts a survey and research on national policies,curriculum materials,the school conditions and students needs of Kunming No.11 High School,and analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the development of the school-based curriculum about Analects of Confucius.The second chapter,on the basis of theory and process of school-based curriculum,discusses the ideas of designing the school-based curriculum of the Analects of Confucius in junior middle school from five aspects:curriculum concepts,objectives,course arrangement,textbook compilation,and evaluation strategies.The third chapter is the implementation strategies of the school-based curriculum of the Analects of Confucius in junior middle school,which is from curriculum and teaching two aspects to offer some advice to implementing the courses.The last part is the conclusion which further clarified the innovative points and significance of the development and implementation of the school-based curriculum of The Analects of Confucius in junior middle school,and also discussesthe problems and experiences.In short,this paper aims to make full use of The Analects of Confucius as a trial to develop the school-based curriculum in junior middle school,which on the one hand,tries to provide a systematic structure to guide the research,on the other hand,can enrich Chinese language teaching by adding traditional culture works and inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture,at the same time,improve students' qualities in grasping Chinese literacy and enhance teachers' research abilities.
